Seems to be sand stone but it has a thin cold water agate layer on one side. Found on Crowleys ridge in craighead county AR.
In situ pic from Craighead county Arkansas.
1-3 Condor, 4-7 Laguna, 8 Las Choyas, 9 Manzanillo Lace
3 L.S.A.’s from within 6ft of each other. This spot is being excavated and this iron rich layer of smaller naturally tumbled stones is about 20ft under the normal layer. It seems to be a sweet spot.
1-3 Laguna agate, 4-5 Los Choyas solid geodes, 6-7 Cold mountain thundereggs, 8 Zirandaro geode.
Botswana, 2-5 Picacho, 6-7 Laguna thundereggs, 8 bakers ranch, 9 flower of the peach lace agate.
Crowleys ridge agates. Did find the last 3 very interesting but I can’t claim them to be anything else “for sure”
It’s really awesome chert! 😆
