I almost fell for a Ledger phishing scam...

About a week ago, I was at my sister's house and wanted to check my Ledger on her laptop. I googled the download link, and the top result looked 100% legit af. I didn't even second-guess it.

But as soon as I opened the app, it immediately asked me for my 24-word recovery phrase.

Honestly, my bad memory completely saved me here. Luckily, I didn't have my 24-word phrase memorized and had left my recovery sheet safely at home otherwise, I absolutely would have entered it. It wasn't until I got home and realized how these hardware wallets actually work that it clicked... the real app will never ask you to type your phrase into a computer. I don't know what the hell was wrong with my head at the time that I was so convinced to put my 24-word recovery phrase in.

Seriously, fuck these scammers. Stay safe out there and always double-check your URLs.

coinbase sucks

what other crypto exchange is good but works in the UK without them asking questions every time I want to withdraw and deposit or completely locking my assets? I use binance a lot but it doesn't seem to work in the UK

are you afraid to lose?

I've seen comments here saying, "Stop wishing for it to go down, I put my savings in there."

But why invest if you're afraid to lose? Every investment carries risk. Whether it's Bitcoin, stocks, real estate, or anything else, losses are always possible. If you can't afford to lose the money, then don't invest it. Never put yourself in a position where a downturn could seriously impact your life.

The potential for gains exists because there's risk. Expecting an investment to only go up because your savings are in it isn't realistic.

My bass amp combo just arrived today!

I picked up this Bugera BXD15A for €330, and it looks beautiful! It's perfect for gigs too with its 1,000-watt power rating. For the price, it feels like an absolute steal considering how loud this thing is.

Am I not a woman if I don't wanna do srs?

I met a trans woman today and for the first time I get to talk about trans stuff with another trans woman in real life. We were talking about hormones, srs and other stuff. She believes that not having srs doesn't make you a woman and started calling me a half woman and incomplete. I feel a bit down about this tbh that another trans woman would say something like that.

I told her that I do not have genital dysphoria and she was surprised about it and think I was fake. I do have problem with me looking like a man when I look at myself in the mirror and was really depressed about it when I was a kid.

She also told me that she is finally getting srs by next month and that she will be a woman and not a trans woman anymore.
