Stag do close to due date

I’m due mid September, and my boyfriend has been invited on a stag do in Amsterdam exactly 4 weeks before my due date. BF has decided that it’s too close to the due date and doesn’t think he’s going to go, however the stag is a really close friend of his, and I feel like he should make the most of one last boys trip before baby comes. I appreciate his thought process but i don’t want him to end up resenting the fact he won’t be able to just up and go/splurge as easily when we’re parents. My pregnancy so far has been uncomplicated, and he could book a refundable flight ticket incase anything changes closer to the time?

Is 4 weeks is too close/cutting it fine? I keep thinking he’s crazy for not jumping at the chance to go!

I’m not sure if I’m just jealous that I can’t make the most of one more boozy girls trip before baby comes so feel like he needs to do it for me 😂

Birthday meal recommendations

I’m hoping to go for a family lunch for my 30th birthday in central London - location not entirely important, as long as it’s accessible by tube it’ll be manageable. There will be 19 in total, including 5 children. I’m pregnant so won’t be drinking, I expect everyone else to have a few drinks but it won’t be a major piss up. I’m struggling to find somewhere nice that doesn’t have an obscene minimum spend.. I’m thinking roughly around £1200 overall? I’m not sure how realistic that is though? I would be really keen for Thai, nice aesthetic - Ivy Asia vibes (already enquired and super expensive min spend unfortunately) but I’m open to other suggestions as well, I’d be open to a nice Italian. I would love a private room, but I know this will likely up the cost so not a necessity, just a nicety.

Just trying to figure out if I need to manage my expectations. TIA!!

London restaurants reccos

I’m looking to book a table for 19 people in July for my 30th birthday, mixture of adults and a few children. Can anyone recommend anywhere nice/special for a birthday but not too pretentious/ridiculously over priced? Location ideally central but not too fussy, as long as accessible by tube it’ll be manageable. Cuisine, I’m open to all. TIA!!

Maternity jeans help!!!

has anyone had a positive experience with normal low waist jeans sized up when pregnant?

I really don’t like the over the bump band jeans, have tried so many and all uncomfy/don’t fit nicely. I’m desperate for some under the bump style - I feel like I’m spending a fortune on returning clothes because everything seems to be online which is so so so annoying. I really didn’t get on well with the H&M before & after mama jeans. Has anyone tried and tested successfully low waist jeans in a bigger size?? Or have a good recommendation for comfy under the bump jeans?

It’s getting warmer here thankfully so I’ll be able to get away with wearing dresses etc for the majority of my pregnancy but I just want atleast one pair of jeans for when the weather is rubbish!!

Pregnancy skincare

I am a complete novice when it comes to skincare, but since being pregnant my skin has gone crazy so feel like I need to have an actual routine to try and feel like me again. I have awkward combination skin, particularly oily T zone. The skincare I have introduced is -

AM
- 0.5% salicylic acid cleanser
- Hyaluronic acid moisturiser
- SPF 50

PM
- 0.5% salicylic acid cleanser
- Niacinamide (ordinary)
- 10% azelaic acid (inkeylist)
- Hyaluronic acid night cream

My main goals are
- Fade dark blemishes/scars
- Reduce pores and redness around nose
- Even skin tone

I’ve tried only cleansing once a day instead of two but had a negative impact so I’m sticking to twice a day. Does anyone have any advice/recommendations of what else I can add to my skincare to help achieve my goals? I’ve read a lot of vitamin C serum, is this worth adding? I haven’t tried toner, to be honest I don’t know much about it and what it does, is this something I should try?

I am a complete novice when it comes to make up. I rarely wear it, only wearing it for occasions and when I do wear it I don’t like the feeling of wearing it.

I have combination, spot prone skin. Can someone pls help me with what kind of base make up I should go for instead of foundation for a light coverage/natural look? Tinted moisturiser/BB/CC cream/anything else? Something that looks like my own skin/doesn’t look like I’m wearing anything. Can anyone recommend any brands/specific products?

Are there any skincare gurus on here?

I have combination skin, which usually only flares up now if I’ve been eating/drinking badly however since being pregnant obvs my hormones are going crazy and so has my skin, and I’ve been left with a fair few blemishes on my face as a result. I’m a complete novice when it comes to skincare, and I rarely wear make up so good skin is so important to me. My skincare is very basic and currently consists of cleansing AM & PM with 2% salicylic acid, & using a hyaluronic water gel moisturiser in the AM only which has always worked for me until now (I find using night creams makes me extra oily = spotty).

Does anyone know what I can add to my skincare to help fade the blemishes that is pregnancy safe? And if someone could dumb it down and tell me what order/when to use products that would be great 😂

We are in the process of buying a doer upper house. I am 5 months pregnant and my current commute to work is 45 mins door to door on the tube which feels like a challenge even doing that. My boyfriend wants us to leave our flat (renting) to move in with his parents for potentially 4/5 months to save money to help with the Reno. I fully understand the logic of this. However, I really really cannot think of anything worse than moving in with his parents. I get on with them, but I absolutely do not want to live with them, and I would feel so unrelaxed the entire time living there because ultimately it’s not my home. My commute would also extend to 1hr & 45 drive instead of 45 tube. It’s becoming a huge issue for us, and i literally cry for hours every time we talk about it because it’s the last thing I want to do but really struggling to find an alternative/compromise to suit both of us. Any external thoughts? Or do I just have to get over it and do it
