Hi, could you guys perhaps help us? We started making music ourselves a few weeks ago and wanted to ask which audio interface you use, particularly when working with multiple devices. We mainly rely on the Airas, which is why we’re asking here.

At the moment, it’s a bit of a struggle for us to get the signal into the DAW properly, and we’re constantly having to switch USB connections or end up with patterns that don’t sound the same as they do on the device itself.

Without a DAW, everything works great with the MIDI cables.

​Yesterday our first synthesizer arrived, we already had a MIDI keyboard.

​We actually have almost zero real handson musical experience.

​My colleague is currently still learning with the presaved presets to get a feel for it, but after about 30 seconds we knew: holy shit, we absolutely need this.

A little concept test, we are currently working on outfits for our first garage music set (psychedelic synthwave). We are an two man audiovisual art project combining analog, digital, and AI.

​The semi fictional character Rider is heavily inspired by (dystopian) cyberpunk.

​

​We are still struggling with light in the dark room and a proper camera; we are reaching the limits of what is feasible with the GoPro, but I hope a Nikon D800 will deliver better results for us.

​However, our pipeline is set, and we can consistently maintain our style because it is largely based on real work, selfmade solutions and hardware rather than AI.

​Later on, we will probably stylize scenes into cel shaded anime again, just like in our last video.

The first test is up and running!

The resolution looks great, even though the edges still need a little fine-tuning.

​I just recorded it quickly with my phone for now (a GoPro was a no-go for this).

Over the weekend, I’m going to try it with a Nikon D300S. Even though 720p isn't ideal, my main goal is to get rid of those annoying rolling shutter bars, which is a real pain with 100 Hz displays, but that 16:9 look makes it totally worth it!

​My 5 year old doesn't quite get the project yet and keeps asking why Daddy has a washing machine standing in his office. 😄

Have us just grabbed this Thomson Black Diva 32WR45E widescreen CRT for a mere 35 €

We want use it for classic CRT Screen Filming. We are doing this for our Synthwave art project to give our music videos that real, analog touch, where we shoot almost all of the material ourselves using props, action cams, and drones.

Our goal is to combine analog, digital, and real-footage media alongside locally generated video-to-video AI (celluloid-style anime).

Subsequently, we process the digital capture from the CRT further via software to create, for example, a classic Kodak 2383 look and specific color compositions. The television is the centerpiece of our pipeline, and we are burning to start the first tests with our proof of concept.

The 100hz screen will be difficult to film but we accept it because of the 16:9 format.
