Reze started the story just as a love interest to Denji, and in a way, she will always be linked to him. She was introduced as what Denji really was and wanted and a warning to what could he become under Makima and Public Safety with his current path. But she didn’t remained that way. Through her interactions with Denji, she started to develop beyond just her love story and even mission. She had personality, with how she studied on her free time without having the need to just be 24/7 around Denji, and what marked the switch on her arc, is that she had actual interest on Denji as a person. She never asked Denji to do something for her, but WITH her. So by the end of the arc and her demise, she became a strong presence in the narrative, even with her absence. So when Denji later remembers her it’s not just as a love interest, but an absence that hurts. She left an impact in the characters and the audience.

Asa started the other way around. She was the protagonist of Part 2, she had her own arc and challenges with Yoru, her troubled past, her flaws and with Yuko. She was completely different and separated from Denji, so when he was re introduced into the narrative, she was her equal or foil, which let a lot more possibilities. When she interacted with Denji, they couldn’t stand each other, which made the Aquarium Date hit even harder, and made fans like the idea of the two protagonist getting together. But the more the story advanced, the less it hit. Asa began losing her own agency and even personality. When she finally found out that Denji was Chainsaw Man, her reaction was lackluster. Her personality is incredible curious and fulu autistic, when she can keep her mouth shut, bringing her a lot of issues, but she doesn’t ask Denji… anything about him. She doesn’t ask him about his past or the events of Part 1, she doesn’t do anything that would let her know him. In contrast with how Reze was written, she always asked Denji what he wanted and what he desired, and it is shown they interacted a lot off screen, Denji telling her aboit his past, his work at PS, about Aki and Power. In contrast, Asa doesn’t show the interest in concordance with her personality.

And after the Aging Arc, there is nothing left. Asa doesn’t have the same back and forward she used to have with Denji, she never asks about Denji personally not even by chance, or even remembering Yuko, and by a point she loses all the screentime to Yoru. And what is worse, considering Part 2 is longer than Part 1 and the Reze Arc, in universe, Asa spends less time with Denji than Reze. The Reze Arc takes place in a week, with Denji and Reze spending all days of that week together, an average of 3 hours per day. But Part 2 takes place over 8 months roughly, and Asa and Denji spent a total of time together roughly 5-6 days tops, an average of an hour per day. And by the end, we don’t see Asa’s reaction to Yoru’s switch, we don’t see her reaction to Yoru about to have sex with Denji, we don’t even see her demise.

It is sad, but at least he have this two amazing characters, even if they wete treated so differently, and both screwed in the end.

Wow. Just realised, Denji is holding Reze’s head, and Reze holds his hand while she kisses him, and both are blushing.

Those pair of horny in love morons were so enamoured with each other, even while one is trying to kill the other, and said other is in pain, they can’t even disguise how in love they are.

I believe the discussion should be of what Love was for Denji, as each one of the person he loved, is something that talked about him as a person, the good and the bad.

I will die on this hill, Katana Man is the single 10/10 best part about Part 2. Motherfucker locked in to support Denji when he saw his “girlfriend” kicking his nuts, refusing going for Sushi, and trying to be an adult.

Found r/Sufficient-Status-62 in this sub, and really liked his work. Placed an order at the end of April, the 23th, and the Gloves arrived on the 10th of June. Here is my reviwe of the process and the gloves:

Communication and Shipping :

The communication was swift at first, he was very open to my requests, and had a cordial attitude. Some times the replies were stretched, but it was mainly because of the time zone difference. The gloves were finished on the 12 of May, making it remarkably fast for a pair of gloves. In the shipping they were a few issues, as there was a delay in the responses and the providing of a shipping code, but he explained it was because of some holidays and weather issues he had in his province, so it is understandable. It was shipped on the 15 of May, the tracking code was provided the 3 of June, and the gloves arrived the 10 of June.

Pros:

- The quality is noticeably. The leather is pretty thick, and you can tell it by touch and feeling. The interior lining is extremely soft, it is really comfortable at touch.

- The finish is pretty good. No noticeable issues with the lining and stitching. The cords are also of good quality.

- So far had only tried them without handwraps in the heavy bag lightly, and I feel an amazing feedback without any force transferring to my hand.

- I ordered them for sparring, and the foam can be sensed to be pretty adequate for it. They still have to be broken in to be used in sparring, but comparing it to the Lus Gloves who have been broken into and used in sparring, they feel softer, not as much as the TopBoxers Win1, but still suitable.

- The compact profile is an amazing one.

- The laces close up perfectly, using the lace up velcro system with the Suave System makes it feel tight and comfortable.

Cons:

- I ordered them at 16 oz, and both came underweight at 15 oz. The maker told me they might have an issue with the calibration of their scales, as in theirs they showed 16 oz, and in mine 15 oz. It’s not a huge issue, but something worth noting.

- The right glove came with a light scratch in the backhand, about quarter of an inch. Is not deep, and the leather being so thick shows there. It’s barely a scratch, but it noticed it when I opened the package. It might have happened im the shipping and customs, as it wasn’t there in the original pictures sent when the gloves were ready.

- The right glove has a slight tilt in the laces patern, and it is a little tighter in the pinky than the left glove. It might not be there one the gloves are broken into.

Conclusion:

For 120 usd shipping included (not including the fucking taxes that customs added), and how quick and good the final product came in, I seriously recommend it. The issues that they have are not serious and can be corrected easily. I will definitely have them on my list in the future when I have the need for more gloves.

I remember even friends who didn’t read the manga but where into anime where discussing about the chapter.

It makes complete sense now. It was the same misanthropic message as Fujimoto’s vision, mixed with the ignorance and naivety of how reality works, and with the literal poor execution of “themes and such”, most which doesn’t even hold weight under basic scrutiny.

If that’s the case, Fujimoto made more effort into making RezeDen and YoruDen canon more than AsaDen.

He really hates Asa huh

I don’t know who still had enough brim on their sould to expect anything from Fujimoto, but now you have our permission to finally let it go.

Cause let’s recap:

- No extra pages, doodles or panels
- No Reze, No Kishibe, No Lil’D, No Yoru, not even Denji or Asa. Just nothing.
- The wrapping on the volume pretty much telling that th e ending is indeed a nightmare Denji would never be able to wake up from

Part 2 wasn’t like most sequels. Fresh ideas, improved art, an amazing new character and villain. It is hard to think that it went downhill so steep, to now just it doesn’t matter anymore

Final Volume announced, Fujimoto’s been dead silent about the entire thing, Volume cover got dropped later without an explanation for the delay, and a lot of “Final” emphasis put in how “Final” this volume drop would go.

Yup, it is so over

What he really meant was:

True feelings of Yoru: the world’s most obvious real feelings in the entire story, the Yoru that has been in love with Denji since the Shinji Hand, or probably even before, finally wins as the villian as Denji reveals himself as her equal now, and has Asa trapped in her body forever, as she won’t be able to leave her now. Ans is about to go Pound Town all the way down to Central Alabama with Denji, raw.

Oh what happened to her and in the new world? Who knows

True Feelings of Denji: turns out that being a hero sucks actually, and Denji’s one core trait, his good soul and respect for woman, is sidelined by the thought of pounding Yoru, who Fujimoto spent the last 60 chapters giving them actual development together more than Asa, only for his choice still not mattering as Denji dies along the entire world when is reset. Oh, and new world Denji hasn’t experienced not one moment of happiness in his entire existence.

True Feelings of Asa: who knows, Yoru says she’s happy to wait her turn or be an Eskimo Sister, as Fujimoto gave more development to Yoru, Reze and Power with Denji than to Asa. We don’t even see her POV to all the fuckery.

Jane Doe hit like a truck when it first came out. Now? Mike Tyson bare knuckles straight to the jaw would hurt half as much as listening to the lyrics “come find me”

It’s getting really tiresome.

Even waaay before, in the Space Globalist Arc, the lesson for Momo was “be honest with Okarun about how you feel”. And to make the point stand more, the one who threatened Momo with that is the most poweful being we’ve seen in the series so far, that tried to kill Momo usong the same love for Okarun she didn’t acted on.

And after that? She waits even more. Even then, I was pleasantly surprised that she had an entire arc with another man who was basically her old type, and didn’t payed attention to him, with said arc concluding with Okarun confessing his love to her. And what does she do? Wait even more. Even when she shrinks down, she tells Okarun “you tell me that again when I’m your size”. Momo, you can still talk. You could have TOLD Okarun you felt the same, but waited, and waited, and waited… only to get your memory wiped, and now be (supposedly) more into Jiji.

I’ve been rooting for Momo and Ken since day 1, but it’s getting to be such a drag, monotonous and boring, I’m almost willing to give Aira and Ken a chance. I’m a Chainsaw Man fan, and when Asa and Denji got dragged and dragged and on and on (with Reze being teased and never coming back), I ended up enjoying Denji and Yoru’s disfunctional and toxic as relationship more than the drag with the endless tease. And it’s not a good sign with DandaDan. Because I was invested in CSM new chapters. Here, reading DanDaDan feels almost like a loyalty test.
