Lenovo LOQ (i5/i7 + RTX 4050) or MacBook Air M5 for ML/CS student?

hey everyone, i’m planning to buy a new laptop, and i’ve narrowed it down to these options:
Lenovo LOQ (either i5 + RTX 4050 or i7 + RTX 4050) or
MacBook Air M5
I’m a Computer Science engineering student, so I’ll mainly be using it for coding, development, general college work, and my main niche is ai/ml. I’d also like something that’ll last me 4–5 years.
which one would you recommend, and why? pls help

laptop recom pls

hii everyone!

i need to buy a new laptop and could really use some recommendations because I'm completely confused at this point.

rn I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3530, and honestly it has been a pretty frustrating experience. It lags a lot even during normal coding, and once I start working on machine learning projects it struggles badly. a lot of the projects I wanted to build had to be dropped because I don't have a dedicated GPU.

I'm a Computer Engineering student, and my main interest/niche is Machine Learning and AI, so I need something that can actually handle my workflow without freezing.

I'm looking for a laptop that:

  • can comfortably handle ml/ai development
  • has a dedicated NVIDIA GPU (CUDA support is important)
  • will last me at least 2-3 years
  • has good build quality and thermals
  • is worth the money (I don't want to regret this purchase)

I'm okay with gaming laptops too if they offer better performance. Battery life isn't my biggest priority, performance and longevity matter much more.

My budget is around ₹80,000. I don't mind stretching it a little if it's genuinely worth it.

I've looked at so many options that I'm more confused than when I started. 😭 pls recommend and tell me if there any I should stay away from? I'd really appreciate any advice because this is a big purchase for me and I don't want to end up regretting it.

19F solo traveller

Hey!

I’m 19F and planning my first solo trip within India. I don’t want to travel completely alone though, so I’ve been looking into travel companies that organize group trips where solo travellers can join and travel with strangers.

As a female traveller, safety is my biggest priority. I’m looking for organizers that are well-managed, have reliable trip leaders, and generally make solo travellers feel comfortable and safe throughout the trip.

I’d also strongly prefer a younger crowd, ideally Gen Z or people in their early 20s, rather than groups that are mostly older adults. A decent gender ratio. Since I’m a student, I’m also looking for something reasonably affordable and budget-friendly.

If anyone has travelled with companies like these or been on specific group trips, I’d love to hear about your experience. How was the crowd, the overall vibe, the trip management, and did you feel safe as a solo traveller? I’d especially appreciate hearing from other women who have done similar trips.

Would love any honest recommendations (or warnings about companies to avoid). Thanks!
