Recommended Fic Release Method

I am looking into what people recommend as a release method for their Fics, specifically whether it is better to release it all at once, or stagger the chapter release.

I have so far posted 2 Star Wars Fics on AO3, and I noticed that both times there was a pattern to peoples interaction with those Fics when I released the entire thing all at once. For the first week or so, there would be a steady stream of Hits, Kudos and Comments, but then they would dramatically die off, and they would go from getting several Kudos a day to maybe one a week. That made me wonder if perhaps releasing a Fic all at once isn't the best method.

Now, I'm asking because while yes, I enjoy the feeling of numbers going up, but I also want to reach as many people as possible with my Fics so that they can be enjoyed, which is why I'm looking for a perhaps more optimal release method.

What does everyone think, is there a release method that tends to result in more people finding your Fic, or is it just how these things go?

Looking for Help with Foliage

Hello everyone!

I'm pretty new to Unreal and completely new to foliage, and I was wondering if I could get some help with a part of my current project (hope this is the right Reddit page for this).

The first image is the concept I'm working on, while the second image shows my current progress. I'm currently in the stage of just creating basic textures for everything and I want to have simple foliage in as soon as possible. Currently, I'm trying to add the Ivy since I feel like that is going to cause me the most struggle, and so far, it has. I've tried numerous methods to create the Ivy while still being able to place it in the right places.

The most resent method I had suggested to me was to use the Ivy gen tools available in Blender, however I've never used Blender before, so I was wondering what you guys thought of that advice, if you have any alternatives you think would work better, as well as anything I should know if I do use Blender and then need to bring it into Unreal since I know importing from other software to Unreal can be finicky depending on what you're importing.

Looking for Various Star Wars Flora

I am writing a Star Wars Fanfic and I need to have a descent number of plants from across the Star Wars galaxy available for me to use. As such, I am asking for any recommendations for plants that you guys know of that you like or think are interesting, and why you think I should add them to the story!

I would prefer that they have a specific use or role if at all possible. Possible roles/use include:

  1. Predatory plants

  2. Structural plants (plants that grow pretty large and sturdy)

  3. Edible plants/Plants that grow edible parts (especially ones that are easily grown and easily consumed)

  4. Plants with unique properties such as ones that make people heal faster, etc

  5. Useful plants (plants that can be used for useful things such as making cloth or for construction, etc)

These are just some possible ideas, but I'll take anything that you think would be interesting to add to the story (I'll even take some plants that do nothing but look cool, though preferably not as many as the more useful or interactive plants)

Thanks in advance!
