Am I being a karen for refusing to take off my and my daughter's shorts at the splash pad/park?

I feel like I may have overrreacted a smidge to what just happened about 20 minutes ago. I bought season passes to a town splash pad that's pretty awesome. It has fun structures and a fish slide and a like playground looking thing but with a waterslide and just water everywhere. The dress code rules are no street clothes or shoes and if a kid isn't potty trained, they have to wear a special covering over their diaper. My daughter is 7 but she has autism and global delay which is basically cognitive delays. She is not fully potty trained so I usually have her wear a pull up for occasions where I don't think she will be aware of needing to use the bathroom. To make the cover less obvious, I put some basketball shorts on over her bathing suit. I also wore black fabric shorts over mine cuz idk I just feel self conscious wearing bathing suit bottoms in public.

We're there for an hour when some guy comes up and tells me we can't wear the shorts and they need to be removed because street clothes aren't allowed. I argued and said I don't think these *are* street clothes and I tried to explain what I just explained above and he cut me off and said "nah for real you need to take off the shorts or you guys have to leave" and I was like ok well is there someone else I can talk to because I don't feel like you're listening to me. Mind you, almost every little boy had a t shirt on with their swim trunks which is the same exact thing imo, and they weren't told anything. One woman had a dress on and no bathing suit that I could see. So I felt like he was just being kind of unreasonable.

A lady walked up while I'm arguing with him and asked if everything was ok. When she walked up, he walked away without a word. I said "honestly no. I feel like making us remove our shorts is unreasonable. My daughter has special needs and isn't fully potty trained so I was trying to preserve her privacy a bit with the shorts and I don't understand why we are being asked to remove them when nobody else has been bothered. Its honestly kind of creepy at this point". And the lady was like "oh my god no, you're fine. Your shorts are ok. I think there was just a misunderstanding about what street clothes means. You're totally fine".

And then I felt bad for calling the guy creepy so I apologized and felt kinda awkward like I was just causing trouble so we ended up leaving 10 minutes later. I feel like I was trying to demand special treatment or something and idk. I always do this anytime I have a confrontation. Like second guess everything

Edit. Apparently this needs to be clarified. This park requires season passes to use it. They are extremely cheap and I paid $30 total. That was not really relevant to the situation and does not in any way make me "more" entitled to break rules if I was breaking them. I literally just added it because it was part of the story. Also, the woman who also worked there said my clothes were fine. The reason I felt bad was mostly because I called the guy a creep or creepy whatever I said and because I hate making a scene

Edit 2. I think I was wrong in saying my daughter had on basketball shorts. She had shorts like this except in a kid size and yellow and white colored shorts

Is this a CPS issue or not really?

When there was a disruption in SNAP last year, I went on my community FB & just made a post offering to drive people to the food bank if they needed to go. I had a girl reply taking me up on it. She seemed nice & her & her mom & her son are staying in a motel long term. I ended up bringing her a few times & some other appointments, took her to the library to use the computer, etc. All this time, I never saw her son. She mentioned him but when I'd bring her places, her mom would watch him.

I brought her some diapers yesterday & I was like can you bring your little one out I wanna meet him? And she did. He was super cute & had on a little T shirt with a dinosaur on it. I just happened to see the size was 6-9 months & it was pretty big on him. She mentioned that his birthday was coming up in the beginning of July. When she said that, I felt a bit off. There were a few things that immediately concerned me.

He was the size of a 6 month old, if that. He was *so* light and small. He didn't make any noises or try to babble or anything. And he seemed very unsteady like his head still needed a bit of support when I was holding him. He did reach for me when I put my hands out to take him, but doing that seemed to put him off balance a bit and made his head wobble forward. She also was discharged from the practice I take my kids to for missing appointments.

On the other hand, he was clean & his diaper was clean & overall he seemed happy & content. He didnt have any bruises or anything either

Since getting to know this girl, unfortunately I think she struggles a bit with following through with things. She had SNAP & WIC & let both lapse because she didn't get documents in & she missed some WIC appointment or something. And I have bought her formula & jarred baby food a few times. But aside from that, I don't know if she has the resources she needs to feed him properly. I do know she relies on 2 food banks for food. I take her every couple of weeks and source diapers and stuff for her when I can.

I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should do anything or just mind my business. He didn't seem like he was mistreated or anything like that but he was shockingly small & his overall abilities felt more like a 4-6 month old than an 11 ½ month old. I am considering calling CPS. Not because I want her baby taken or anything like that but because she needs help & they have a lot of resources & things. I will be honest that my overall feelings towards CPS are pretty negative. I don't know if that is clouding my judgement.

I first made this post like 10 days ago & I have seen her baby 1 more time since then. I asked her if she needed a ride to his 1 year check up to see if I could find out if he has a pediatrician or not and she said she doesn't need a ride. When I met him the 2nd time it was exactly the same. So I still have no idea what to do. I'm taking her to apply for foodstamps tomorrow. Im in NY if that matters.

Edit. My concern are that an almost 1 year old cannot hold his own head up consistently in combination with being unable to stand or walk and being the siz3 of a 4-6 month old. I also know she does not have wic or foodstamps so all of the food for 3 people is what she gets from the food bank. So I am worried she doesn't have enough food and that her baby may be malnourished and potentially not developing at the pace he should be. I do not think she is abusing him. I think she may possibly be unintentionally neglecting him

My son keeps getting attacked and idk what else to do

My son is 12. He has an IEP for ADHD and other things. He is currently attending an out of district program He was sent to this school for behavior related issues like work avoidance, refusing to engage in school, pretending to sleep all day, and in the last few months before he was moved, he started having a bad attitude and had a few incidents where he would say completely outlandish, inappropriate shit to get reaction from people.

I was hesitant about this school from day 1 because it was pretty obvious to me that it was meant more for kids with violent or aggressive behavior issues. There are security measures like every individual door being locked at all times, support staff walking the halls at all times and some other things. But when we toured, my son loved it. And he has honestly done a complete 180 since starting.

The main issue is that he has been targeted by a kid for some reason, and this kid is extremely violent. Apparently the kid started everything by asking my son if he was gay & when my son said no, he got angry & started saying he *was* gay and using the f slur.

My son earned computer privileges one day and this kid got angry & picked up the desktop monitor and threw it at my sons head. It hit him. The school never contacted me. I was told what happened by my son & had to reach out to them. And I was pretty obviously not happy, but stayed respectful. I just made it clear that I need to be notified when this stuff happens & asked what the plan was going forward. The vice principal called me & apologized & said the kid felt very remorseful & would be writing an apology letter to my son.

Two days later, the kid called my son the f slur multiple times & shoved him & tried to trip him.

Then yesterday, I get a text from the school nurse with a pic of my sons torso area saying he had been in a "physical altercation" and was being treated for pain from being slammed into a desk.

I called the school & the VP told me a peer got angry because my son was ignoring them & started making nasty, derogatory comments about myself & my 7 year old autistic daughter to get a reaction. My son ignored him & attempted to move to a different spot in the room & the kid attacked him. He threw multiple objects at him, tried to punch him several times, and slammed him into a big steel desk. It was the same kid from the previous incidents.

My son has only been there for a month. He's been physically assaulted 3 times and has to endure being verbally attacked almost daily. And the VP said they are doing some sort of investigation to "try" and get the kid moved to another class. So my son has to continue spending his entire school day (they attend every class as a group) with this kid until or unless they are able to move him. She reassured me they weren't putting them in the same summer program class. Which..cool I guess but in a school where there is a 1/2 ratio of students & adults, how does this keep happening? How is this kid able to keep attacking my son? The VP has also made it clear each time that my son did *nothing* to provoke or escalate these incidents.

Im really not sure what to do. My son still likes his school & doesn't want to leave. He also isn't particularly "scared" of the kid, he just finds him very irritating & obviously doesn't want to keep getting attacked. But I am worried one of these times my son is going to get seriously injured. Or he's going to fight back & get punished which will happen apparently. They expect the kids to ignore provocation & even if they get hit they're not supposed to respond.

Edit. Thank you all for your advice. I think I have under-reacted to this & didn't realize it. My son really loves the school so I let things slide more than I should have. I am calling an emergency CSE meeting & going to APD Monday morning to file a police report

Nail sets Im working on POTN & BJ Alex what do you think?

Actually I am having a hard time coming up with things to put on the Painter of The Night set. Like what objects would be a good representation of that story?

These are my first try at BL Themed nails so they are aren't as good and detailed as the ones I usually do but I think theyre ok

Ateez leader Hongjoong is the music director for new indie gay film "Hallucination"

Ateez is one of the bigger Kpop boy groups(and my favorite group) especially since they come from such a small company. There seems to be a lot of kpop/BL crossovers happening recently & I love it!

The movie is about a fashion designer who creates an AI lover & actually falls in love with him. Hongjoongs brother plays one of the leads although I'm not sure which one.
