Not professional, just my thoughts about this keyboard RK L98

Hi,

I'm not a professional at mechanical keyboard, just very interested in trying different keyboards. I got a new keyboard for my home office setup. Here is my honest thought about L98:

1.Price 10/10 - I got it on sale, around $90.

2. Aesthetics 8/10 - Minimal style, a very standard color scheme. Is it possible to have a all white color scheme?

3. Connectivity 8/10 - Tri-mode connection. I found that it needs to be charged around once a week if I keep it on all the time. So it's in wired now.

4. Typing 10/10 - The most surprising part of this keyboard is the typing sound. I bought the keyboard with silent switches. Though it's not 100% silent, it sounds so great. And the typing is very soft, it's more like between linear and silent switch.

5. RGB 7/10 - There are around 10ish RGB effects for your to choose. Neonstream is the one I'm using. Do you guys know any custom RGB software? Thought I could give it a try.

6. Layout 9/10 - A huge plus for a southpaw keyboard is that it leaves much space for the mouse. I don't need to move my hand off the mouse. Most of the time, it's like a 75% keyboard to me. But I'm more used to using the right hand if I have to enter numbers. It's fine with me. It's more comfortable with a standard full-size keyboard if you have to deal with numbers a lot. Or a separate numpad will do.

7. Overall 8/10 - it's very decent overall for its price. A pretty standard mechanical keyboard. If you want to try a southpaw keyboard, this could be the entry board. However, if you want more customization, I don't think it can do that for you.

My new WFH setup

I change my WFH setup to a southpaw keyboard

I was looking for a mouse for my friend as a birthday gift, and found this text engraving service on Redragon. Thought engraving my friend's name on the mouse would be pretty cool. But honestly, I wasn't 100% sure if it's a good idea. My backup was that I'll just keep it to myself and buy something else for him if it looks bad.

It actually looks better than I thought. The engraving is very clean and subtle, not overly flashly or cheap. It just blends in nicely without messing with the grip. It looks good enough to give as a gift, and I think it adds a unique touch compared to just a standard mouse.

I've used Redragon mouse for years, and still love it. Hard to find a mouse with so many side buttons at this price. Performance-wise, it's always the same as expected. Though I wish the software could be improved.

What do you guys think of this? Do you prefer to keep a standard mouse or one with your name on it?
