Stichwahl: Umgang mit KI im Subreddit

Hallo zusammen,

A miscalculation, perhaps?

And obviously my Cosmic Hater Man-at-Arms dies on the first deathblow check (classic) in the Act 4 Death fight.

Funnily at the Crossroads another Cosmic Hater Man-at-Arms was waiting for me, so I'll just try again. But this time without Flagellant (and memories on my Man-at-Arms...).

At least I got the achievement for losing a hero with 5 memories I guess? 🥲

Difficulty in Kingdoms feels almost entirely frontloaded

Hey guys,

this is a follow-up post to my previous post about Kingdoms - I have now completed all 3 campaigns blind (Normal difficulty). After completely dumpstering the final boss again, I wanted to make this post.

I like Kingdoms mostly, even though it is pretty stressful to me since it makes me feel overwhelmed at times. What I do not like is early Kingdoms.

The combination of:

  • Suboptimal skillsets

  • Unmastered Skills

  • Low DBR (due to no hero upgrades)

  • Unupgraded Inns

  • No or bad Stagecoach Items

  • No or bad Trinkets

  • Wanderer Path bad on some heroes

  • Not enough money for food (that only lasts 1 region) & other Inn Items

makes me loathe early Kingdoms.

And yes, the Escalation level somewhat scales the difficulty. But I don't think the +40% Damage and +50% HP of Escalation makes up for having upgraded inns, mastered skills, hero upgrades, Assay Gear, Stew Pot etc. Since the main difficulty is imo not the fights (besides some unlucky Champion mashes, siege mashes and lair bosses) but the resource management.

Additionally, the final bosses have been a huge letdown for me. Which is partly my fault I guess since I overprepared and entered the fights with my heroes roided out of their minds (insert Rorschach prison meme) but still.

The changes I would like to see:

  • Food should be more expensive and last 3 regions like the rest (Griddle and Stew Pot need to trigger less then obviously)

  • I think you should be allowed to pick your starting skills (just like in Confessions), maybe reduce the chance to receive mastery points to make up for it. Personally I would like to also choose Paths but that would make the related inn upgrades useless so eh.

  • Bosses need to be updated so that Poultice stacking is less effective

What is your opinion on the difficulty in Kingdoms? I am guessing the early game is even rougher on Stygian/Blood Moon?

Perfectly balanced, as all things should be

On a related note, what is your favorite relationship type?

Mine is definitely Respectful - Strength and Dodge+ tokens are insanely useful and the occasional additional attack and riposte is just the cherry on top.

If I don't have a dedicated strong stress healer Hopeful is nice too.

I also remember a specific instance where the heal when the love interest is low health from Amorous saved my ass.

Bow down before the God of all Aboms

Unfortunately was in Kingdoms and not Confessions so he is gone now T_T

Netzüberspannungen (Alarm-ID 2034), Betreiber wimmelt ab mit Standardantwort

Hallo zusammen,

Bundesnetzagentur? Anwalt? Hat da jemand bereits Erfahrungen gesammelt?

Reverberating Redoubt or Spiked Skullcap with Armory Key?

Hey guys,

in my Kingdoms campaigns I usually end up with both of these trinkets and struggle to choose which one is better.

Both are really good imo but since I need the Bonesaw anyways for the Armory Key I usually equip the Spiked Skullcap. I was wondering which one you would choose.

Maybe someone even here thinks this is not a good combat item/trinket setup which would surprise me but you never know.

In my current campaign the Bleed is really useful to help my Alchemist PD so I'll probably stick with the Spiked Skullcap.
