Inspired by this Reddit post here, I decided to similarly invest in a big hard protective case for my very newly purchased OM-108.
I live in Australia and Walmart products aren’t available here, but I was very happy to find a case large enough available at Bunnings for only $69 AUD (approx $48 USD).
The internal dimensions are 482x370x190mm.
It certainly does add to the space required to store it, but it keeps it exceptionally secure.

Hey team. Does anyone have a Standard Model E and can tell me the EXACT height of the rewind knob (i.e. the distance between the surface of the top-plate & the top of the knob)?

The Model E has the redesigned knob that is taller & narrower (compared to the model a & c), and also has the extendable mechanism.
