Been wearing these Mason Reserves a lot…these might be the best shoes I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned at least 200 pairs of dress shoes in my life. These beat my Alden longwings in every way possible. And I love those shoes.

These Miller Reserves are starting to “flex” their construction. This color plays and styles better than I initially thought. I wear it more casually and relaxed, and that’s been fun.
Had the pleasure of meeting Julie and the team. Will post pictures of my factory tour as well. Had to grab a couple wish list items before I left:)

This is off the rack, fit is mostly nice. Thoughts on shortening the sleeves? At most I’d do 1/2 inch, but the shirt sleeves are just a tad hidden, you can see them when I bend my arms.
I feel like the shirt sleeves rule is a little different for sport coats. Thanks in advance.
These are the Newman loafers I received a few days ago that seemed to be in bad shape. I scroll to see what they looked like. They are not F2s but were on sale. And that made me realize, there’s a reason they are selected for “sale.”
After getting them looking nice, and trying them on, I realized the value immediately. With a discount and the Father’s Day sale price, these were about $275 out the door.
They feel like they were made for my feet, and I love the beef roll look of the Newman.
Should the shoes looked like they did, probably not. But after a few steps the cosmetic issues were nothing overlooked at the factory. These shoes have been in storage and probably tried on in a store. Either way, I ended up loving them.
More than I bargained for with my new Newman loafers. The residue almost brushes off, but the shoes are just on overall poor shape. White paint or something not brushing off and lousy grain on the outside of one of the shoes. I already returned a pair with pretty loose grain near the toe.
The eBay listing said “black Loro Piana blazer” but I figured it was a mistype. Got it for $89 it’s like new.
Also attached photo of inside tag, this was made 2013.
I think these are great with cotton..denim, chinos. I saw someone wearing a worsted wool suit paired with these and it looked off, way off.
I can’t despise a shoe more, now that I’ve owned it about a year. Worn it maybe 3 time. It’s not the color or style…it’s the Last.
