Terrible Top Layers using Bambu Lab default profiles on X2D

Looking for help.

I've recently got a X2D and it's quite a downgrade in comparison to my P2S. I'm printing using the default 0.24 profile and Bambu labs' own PLA Matte profile. And it just gives me terrible top layers. I've tried:

  • Running the printer calibration.
  • Drying the filament in the AMS.
  • Using a fresh unused 0.4mm nozzle.
  • re-tightened the screws on the heating assembly.

In that first picture of the 4 circles I have:

  1. Top right is using the Generic PLA filament. It actuually looks the best out of all of them, but still not as good as I expect it to be, still worse than my P2S with the same settings.
  2. Bottom Right is using Bambu PLA MAtte filament profile.
  3. Top Left is using bambu PLA Matte filament profile and a +0.02 Nozzle offset from the first layer calibration settings screen.
  4. Bottom left is the using bambu pla matte filament profile and a +0.04 nozzle offset.

The big grey circle was printed using the PLA Basic Filament profile, while better still issues. The actual process changes are only changing the walls to be 4 and the infil to be gyroid at 5%. No other changes.

I don't know what to do anymore. Increasing the nozzle offset was what Bambu lab livechat recommended me but that didn't change top layer and only made the first layer worse.

Magic Crystal Store - Campaign Frame

I'm starting my own Campaign, so I made myself a campaign frame to figure out what I want to do!

The frame has rules for how the store works. It isn't so much about running it, as I kept the rules fairly light. It adds store events, as well as ways to improve the store while the party handles other situations. (Also I just themed it magic crystals, but it can work for any kind of store)

Here's the pitch

The world of Azure is filled with crystals, from Lapis Lazuli used as Luck stones, to rubies and diamonds with magical powers. The whole world revolves around the magical capabilities of these crystals, imbuing them into weapons and armour, or even pots and doors.

The world of Magic Crystal hunting is cutthroat but extremely lucrative, as the more powerful the crystal, the more dangerous the location will be! The adventurers finding these crystals are called Azure Hunters.

In a Magic Crystal Store campaign, you inherit a Magic Crystal Store. This store was on the brink of being shut down, but an earnest request to keep it afloat from your good friend and a promise of a lot of money makes you give it a shot.

I mostly made it for my own usage, but sharing here for inspiration for others!

PS. I might still need to tweak balancing of values, but otherwise really happy and the players are looking forward to running the store while adventuring.

Dice box for all my Duality Dice soon to arrive.

I've ordered the new Duality dice Set, and wanted to make a my own Dice box for them! I didn't find anything that would work for my needs where the dice would not move around, but the lid would also say closed safely. So I made my own modular dice box that I can 3d print.

I still need to add magnets to make it extra secure, and my two D12s from the Collectors edition are in there for now, but soon it'll be filled up with the beauties!

Here's a link for it: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2988709-secure-modular-dice-box-with-magnets#profileId-3354148
