nothing too Outrageous or interesting going on in here imo just a redraw of the gfys album cover in my art style. also this is my first time drawing oingo boingo fanart after being a fan for several months shockingly
last night before going to bed i randomly thought of drawing this so i sketched it out and well... ended up finishing it for real the next day
getting neils style somewhat right was definitely challenging but i think i did well
i have a feeling that if id tried i couldve come up with a funny or witty name for this album parody thing but apparently the grey matter was scarce and the neurons werent firing all that well so i ended up just leaving it as live from the haunted candle shop. not sure if i will end up changing it eventually
to be honest i wouldve given this crossover album thing a funny or clever name relating to earthbound but unfortunately my mind was a complete blank. so now youre just getting an altered version of the live from the haunted candle shop cover. i hope you guys enjoy it regardless
i would say getting the drawing to feel like the actual album cover was certainly a challenge. neils style is just far too unique. i do think i did a fairly good job though

no idea if this counts as low effort or if im breaking the rules in any other sort of way. if i am well i apologize. i dont really post here all that much anymore anyways. i just thought this would be fun to share
i dunno if anyone else sees my vision but like i can ABSOLUTELY see this guy being in earthbound (but like just mother 2 specifically. MAYBE mother 3 but it doesnt feel nearly as convincing as mother 2 imo)
i can DEFINITELY see this guy giving me headaches at the department store >!during the power outage!< or in moonside or even in magicant. i dunno this album cover just looks like it would fit well right into any of those parts
now this begs the question (for any lemon demon fans who may be lurking this sub): were emmy or neil cicierega inspired by earthbound to any extent while designing this album cover or is it just me imagining things? like i know the answer is probably going to be the latter but it would be super cool if, you know, they actually did draw inspiration from earthbound though it wouldnt entirely surprise me because just look at that pillow. it just looks like it would fit right in with any other enemy
this was both extremely fun and extremely unfun to draw
not just from the entire franchise but from fiction in general
