Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I posted an update about my Moomin-themed island in ACNH, so I figured I’d show yall my latest builds! I made sure to include references from various Moomin media, including the original novels, picture books and the 90s anime!
In celebration of his 100th birthday, the rest of the Lars Jansson comics will be officially released by Drawn and Quarterly! Lars drew the strip after Tove quit in 1960, and his run actually lasted longer than hers did, ending in 1975. However, until now, the last ten years of his run have never been published in book form!
What do y’all think of this news? Personally I’m very excited! I’ve read some pretty good fan translations of his later strips and am very excited to have them officially translated and in book form!
Hi all, I’ve only got three more bugs to catch to complete my critterpedia. These are the golden stag, the giraffe stag and the horned Hercules. All three of these bugs spawn between 5pm and 9am, and I usually play in the evening which gives me a good window of time to hunt.
Here’s my hunting method:
-Put a bunch of palm trees in my pockets
-Go to a Nook Mile Island
-Place my palm trees on the beach
-Destroy all other trees, stumps, and flowers, leaving only the palm trees
-Keep walking around the island, chasing off other bugs (or catching them if they’re worth lots of bells)
I’ve been doing this since the start of July, but have only managed to find a few horned Hercules, all of which I’ve unfortunately scared away. Is there something else I should be doing to increase the spawn rate of these last three bugs? Or am I just exceptionally unlucky?
Hi all, I decided to show you guys my nature park slumber island! It’s nowhere near complete, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out so far.
I visit a lot of parks IRL for nature photography, so this island is inspired by a mix of the different places I’ve been!
These photos were taken on several different days, hence the different outfits.
Hi everyone, this squirrel’s been staring at me through my window, shaking his tail and chirping like this for about a minute now. I’m not concerned at all, just curious as to why he’s doing this. Is he threatened by my presence? I’m also wondering if maybe he’s mad at me cuz all my bird feeders are squirrel-proofed!
This bag was my brother’s for a while, then he gave it to me. Neither of us know where it came from, and the only hint is the Merona tag. I’ve looked on Merona’s website and haven’t found anything similar. The bag is falling apart and I’d like to replace it with the same kind, since I love the size, style and inner pocket. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
