Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I posted an update about my Moomin-themed island in ACNH, so I figured I’d show yall my latest builds! I made sure to include references from various Moomin media, including the original novels, picture books and the 90s anime!
And I couldn’t be happier!
In celebration of his 100th birthday, the rest of the Lars Jansson comics will be officially released by Drawn and Quarterly! Lars drew the strip after Tove quit in 1960, and his run actually lasted longer than hers did, ending in 1975. However, until now, the last ten years of his run have never been published in book form!
What do y’all think of this news? Personally I’m very excited! I’ve read some pretty good fan translations of his later strips and am very excited to have them officially translated and in book form!
I finally worked myself up to get a tattoo I’ve been thinking of getting for ten years.
I love it so much and regret nothing, I love getting to see this silly little troll whenever I want. It brings me so much joy and I can’t explain it.
First picture is the day I got it, second picture is a month later.
For mine and my boyfriends anniversary I decided to draw us in Tove's style since we're both a fan of the Moomins💖 used pencil as well as a dip pen and ink to give it a cuter feel!
Today’s prompt was “smack”. Reposted because I forgot to add his freckles
I thought it was suoer cute, he doodled socrates, with a cane and beard to show he is old lol and the shape reminded me of the groke character

"Uncovering the personal relationships behind the celebrated artist, Tove Jansson and her Families (21 November – 9 May 2027) will look at the people who shaped Finnish author-illustrator Tove Jansson’s life and work (1914–2001) – the UK’s first exhibition to share her original works in almost a decade and the first exhibition to focus on Tove Jansson’s work solely as an illustrator."
Looks well worth a visit!
