How fast can you charge?

Just curious really - how fast can your car charge? It's not a question it occurred to me to ask when buying. My MG is supposed to manage 75kW. Who's making full use of the 300kW chargers?

Starship Alexandria podcast

Just in case people aren't aware (maybe it comes up all the time and Reddit's search function is rubbish), our man does a monthly podcast with Emma Newman. They take turns convincing each other of the merits of a favourite work.

Lots of fun and highly recommended!

Are any gas/elec suppliers OK with non-smart meters?

To explain the situation briefly, elderly relative had built up quite a lot of credit. I got them to drop the DD to £10/month to burn through it. At some point subsequently they upped it to £600/month. At least 4 times higher than necessary; stupid amount of credit has now built up. A straight answer to the obvious question (WTF?) wasn't forthcoming, but they repeatedly said that she wouldn't have this problem with a smart meter. She doesn't want one, because reasons.

So... switching supplier once we've extracted the credit back is on the cards. But are any suppliers a bit more forgiving of old fashioned meters than Ovo? And yeah, seriously considering dropping the ombudsman a line.

Thanks!

ETA

Yeah, a smart meter is obviously the way forward, and convincing her of that is a problem I can work out somehow!

Ovo can still do one though.
