Hot meals- that are still good cold?

A lot of meal prep meals are 'designed' to be reheated, or

assembled from ingredients that are supposed to be eaten cold.

But what meals can you make- originally consumed hot- that are still really nice to eat cold, without planning them that way?

A small distinction but hopefully one others will understand.

Yes a lot of it depends on taste and preference- which is why I am asking to try out your ideas. I think many will agree some foods are just objectively better hot but it's always nice when eating it cold the next day is not a chore or purely economical choice.

Chicken and rice doesn't count, unless you have a great recipe!

Google Voice Typing Query

I am using an external mic in the google docs web browser on a pc laptop. I have reset the settings, ive switched it off an on, changed the language- it simply does not work for voice typing. It spells out 'period' and 'quote marks' and occasionally tells me that it cannot hear me very well even though my default mic is selected and working.

What am I missing?

PGDL/gap year to post SQE pipeline

Can you/is it normal to travel between the hurdles of the PGDL and SQE exams prior to commencing QWE as a trainee or otherwise?

The reason I assume this isn't entirely abnormal is I once came across a webpage for a firm that mentioned in their about section that their new associate/trainee had spent some time (presumably the last year) travelling and now had returned to the firm to take up the reins.

Will trainees be looked down upon for taking some time to travel between the PGDL and SQE, or the SQE 1 and 2? Do some firms offer a short sabbatical before commencing TC?

Looking to avoid a faux pas.

Installing BT Fibre for the first time

These questions are for someone with a background in electrical/broadband/network Installation. I have no experience in this field.

Background :

when the property was built Virgin Media were one of the only providers of fibre in the area. Ours and our neighbours Virgin fibre connections run underground, or to the side of the houses and connect through a socket in a downstairs room.

This was perfect when Powerline tech was actually functional- to beam the signal around the house- but over the years WiFi signal is dropping randomly, usually at the worst time. So time for a change.

The present situation :

Recently a BT fibre installation was made at a box nearby, but they can't use the same access point as Virgin.

The result being we have to run a wire through the house from front to back (too much paintwork, plaster, skirting and mess) OR run the wire up the front of the house into a connection in the eaves/loft space where we also have working mains outlets.

My questions:

Does the cable just need to go into a BT Hub Router/modem, which makes this whole thing a lot simpler, or does it have to travel into something else first?

who is responsible for ensuring the fibre cable is wired correctly into the loft - and fitted safely against roof beams or rafters as it's fed into the roof space (which gets very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter)

do we need clamps to hold the wire against a roof beam, should we check the mains outlet is safe to modify?

Many thanks for your time.

Federer-Era shoes Vs. other creations- recommended alternatives?

I was a dedicated devotee of the Federer Era Nike Zoom Vapors.

I made the mistake of buying some post-federer zoom Vapors a few years back, when I didn't realise they had changed the design.

Apologies if you've had a lot of these posts recently, but now I'm seeing posts popping up that the Zoom Vapor 12s are a new design yet again- and are somewhat of an attempt to resurrect the Federer era shoe.

Would you recommend the ZV 12s or something else? It's been a while since the last 'heritage'vapors were released so I think I missed the boat on that one. Perhaps you are like me and wonder what happened to this brilliant shoe- here are my reasons why I have found it hard to replace:

-------Why I liked Federer Vapors

*Wide toe box*

*Flat, low profile sole*

*Neutral, stable shoe structure* - grounded feel

A real shoe 'tongue'! - great stability, locked in feel.

----------Why I hated the post federer vapors

*Narrow toe box*

*Weird spongey sole*

*Strange shoe structure that makes my foot feel like it's caving in on itself*

Fake sock-tongue attached to the shoe- too tight and not maneuvreable or as adjustable- does not mold to foot

(Edited for coherence)

As part of keeping myself afloat on WH Visa, I'm considering part time or supply/casual roles on the south east coast (mainly syndney and surrounding) or Secondary and Upper High school Literature and language

Any advice for UK teacher looking to make the switch but with temporary or shorter contracts? This sort of thing is quite hard to find in the UK, especially without a good agency or contacts. so just wondering what my options are if I want to work in education and not always cafe/retail while on WH
