Was This a Bad Loner Call?

Score was 0-1 opponent's way.

I held Js A-Kh and A-9d. Picked up the 9s, discarded the 9d and went alone.

Granted I probably would've been euchred with a partner anyway but the player to my left had 3 clubs and two trump and played the clubs for 2 tricks plus their trumped trick for the euchre.

I did the lead the king out of an A-K combo trickery but they didn't fall for it.

I think it was a reasonable hand to go alone on and I would've been euchred anyway with my partner unless they held 2 trump.

Shortchanged No Trade List

Am I missing something or should his Tradeable teams list only be 23 with an 8 team no trade list in a 32 team league? It seems the game is adding his current team to his no trade list which I'm pretty sure is not what happens IRL.

Custom League Scheduler is Broken

I'd like to know what EA's excuse for this nonsense is!

Even given a clean 2 game slate across the board it spits out anomalies.

EA is just a disgusting company and should be ashamed of themselves!

Fix your game EA

Custom league. Wanted to do a DTG with a 33rd team but I hate the expansion draft because teams are stupid in protecting players.

This is the fixture counts of one team in a 17 team conference in a 33 team league. After over a week trying to get the scheduler to behave itself with different division structures and game mandates I gave up and removed divisions. (Can't have playoff re-seeding now). It still can't do basic scheduling.

I dropped the games per team to 80. In the 17 team conference it should be a flat 3 games against all 16 opponents. Instead it spits out two 4 game and two 2 game series.

I shudder to think what it did in the 16 team conference where it needs one 4 game series per team.

This isn't good enough EA and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Custom Leagues Bizarre Scheduling

So, I wanted to set up a 33 team league with the Maine Mariners added to the Atlantic division with an 84 game schedule.

The pictures above are the resultant schedule for a Central Division team Chicago. This division has an intended 34/24/26 split. You can see the game hit those numbers. The divisional matchups are perfect. The inter division and inter conference matchups are not.

Does anybody know of a way to stop it from having unbalanced numbers as is shown here? There's no logical reason that it needs to create splits like that.

Weak 2 seat next call

I made a perhaps controversial call recently. The situation was...

We were up 6-0 with my partner having the deal. My partner turned down a spade.

1st seat passes and it comes to me holding QC, 10C, 9C and 3 suited with no high offsuit cards.

Having a big lead and no defence in red I decided to call clubs. My reasoning was as follows.

• yes my partner might want red but there a high chance 3rd seat calls the wrong red suit for them

• I have absolutely no defence for any suit other than clubs being trump

• 3 low trump is not a guarantee to stop a loner and my partner is unlikely to be able to defend a club loner too

• 1st seat passing likely doesn't have many clubs or they should've called and is probably sweating on a red suit

• we have a huge lead and a loner makes it a close game. Absolutely the worst case scenario

What would you do in this situation?
