Am I the only one who got to the end of this and was like, this is the ideal situation? 🤣 but actually how is this a standalone?!?!? I was completely expecting this to have a second book based on that ending and then saw after it won’t which is wild.
Also does anyone else know of any other dark romantasy books that have bdsm dynamic relationships done well like this? Super appreciated the conversation where they discussed the relationship and expectations.
I just finished Alchemised and while I loved it, that was so heavy I need something fun with hilarious banter and less emotional damage. Looking forward to whimsical!
These are the books I currently have, from people who have read them which fits best? Originally I was going for A Curse for True Love, but that also deals with memory loss and I don’t know I can handle it right after Alchemised.
Before I get into this I just want to say yes I loved the book and am enjoying the series and this isn’t me saying this is bad writing, it’s just funny.
At the end of Assassins Blade Ferran and Arobynn are on the roof watching our girl get taken away to Endovier and Ferran turns to Arobynn and asks “why did you do it?” Why did you betray her?
And this crazy man’s answer is “Because I don’t like sharing my belongings”
We don’t need to get into the people as belongings part he’s a bad guy, I get it. What is mind boggling is the I don’t like SHARING part. He could have said this 200 different ways but said this.
You don’t like sharing??
The man who seems to exclusively be with courtesans- paid 3 chests of gold to sleep with a courtesan- the definition of which is a person who sleeps with MULTIPLE PEOPLE FOR MONEY???
