Hi everyone,

I just got an email from the bookstore about my course materials being ready, but whenever I go and click on the link they provided, all I see is my courses grayed out, and it says "we are unable to find the specified course." Does anyone else have this problem or know why its doing that?

I thought about getting a skin for my phone to match with my switch, but I typically use clear cases so I wanted to know if it would be good to put a skin on my phone then a clear case over it to protect the skin or would it get damaged? Has anybody done something like this before?

I (M21) was diagnosed with sepsis last week. It started from a severe stomach infection that I had been dealing with for a couple of weeks. All of a sudden I felt extreme chills and my family rushed me to the hospital. The doctor diagnosed me with sepsis and I had to be hospitalized for the night. Thankfully I made a full recovery in less than a day, the doctor said that the sepsis was caused by the stomach bug and a severe dehydration, but mostly the dehydration, but I’m just so worried about it and I’m scared. I’ve never been faced with something like that in my life, especially the idea of a doctor telling you that you could die. Talking to the doctor a bit more about my diagnosis, he told me that it was extremely unlikely for me to develop sepsis again since it wasn’t a recurring issue, but I’m just so paranoid about it now. Even when I look it up, I always get told that it’s extremely unlikely that I’ll get it again since my case was unique, but I know sepsis is more common for people who already have it so I’m not sure if I’m justified in my fears or not. I’m just so scared and I don’t know who to talk to about it. If anyone can offer any words of reassurance or relief, I would greatly appreciate it.

I’m assuming this subreddit gets a lot of questions about which laptop would be best for going to college with, and I was looking for advice on which one to buy. As the title says, I am majoring in video game design and animation, and I’m not 100% sure on my options. My school website does have some specifications on their website, and obviously they recommend a desktop computer instead for the course, but since I am going to be commuting instead of staying there, I would like something portable for class. I’ll list down the specs that my course asks for if anyone would like to see.

-Windows Laptop
CPU - Intel Core Ultra 7 or 9 or Ryzen 9 9700X, 9800x3D or better
GPU - Nvidia RTX 5060ti or better
RAM - 64 GB (128GB recommended if doing heavy simulation work, ie Houdini FX)
Storage - 1TB SSD

I’m sure finding a laptop matching all of this is going to be impossible, or it’s going to cost an arm and a leg, but any laptops able to run heavy software should be fine. I’m also curious as to if I should get a gaming laptop or not since I will be running things like blender and unreal engine, any help would be greatly appreciate!

So I've been thinking about whether I need a laptop for the Animation & Games major. I know I definitely need a computer of some kind, and I already have one at home, but I'm not sure if I should bring a laptop too, just in case. I've looked at the bass school websites' specifications for this course, and they obviously say that a desktop is better than a laptop, but I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience in that major or if anyone had any advice on what laptops or computers I should invest in.
