How did people originally react to the Chimera ant arc?

I was too young when it came out to be reading manga. I am super curious how people initially felt about the arc as it took years to finish as well as being a lot of peoples favorite arc with the full context. Were people satisfied by the conclusions? Did anyone expect it to turn out like it did popularity wise?

GR86 alternatives, daily driver thats also fun to drive/cool

Ive been eyeing a gr86 for a long time. Ive been debating just spending more and getting a supra, but as a daily it probably would be a bitch as Id be driving around 40 miles per weekday. Other alternatives would be something along lines of the BMW 240i (new) or some older BMW. Max budget would be around 60k but rather spend closer to the gr86 mid/low 30's.

My requirements would be dailyable, decent luxury (heated seats or remote start) for the winter, fun to drive and preferably two doors. I really do think the 86 is the best option but open to other suggestions. Manual is preferred but not required.

Appreciate the help guys! Thanks

Would you rather live in a desirable neighborhood or have a shorter commute?

As the title says i'm in a bit dilemma with a new job offer in the Chicago area. I know this is a somewhat common question but id love to hear thought from people who have been in this situation. The job is near Naperville/Lisle and not close enough to the Metra line to be a walkable option.

I'm stuck between driving from a western neighborhood, living near the job or living in a suburb like oak/forest park. I am in my mid 20's, single and dont know anyone in the chicago area so I really do think living in a far suburb would be awful, oak park seems quite nice but i really didnt really get a vibe while visiting there's a lot of people my age living there and the line to the city is nice but wouldn't be reliable if I wanted to stay out late.

Anyways I know the idea of a long commute is kind of psychotic but Im debating putting up with it for a year and moving out closer later. My job does have very flexible hours and pays really well which makes it more doable as I could plan around traffic (kind of).

Im hoping you guys can suggest some neighborhoods near the 290 west but with a vibe more like wicker park/logan square instead of like west loop (maybe theres a part of west loop thats a little quieter.) I know its probably stupid to even consider doing the commute but Id like to at least do some research into neighborhoods where its somewhat feasible before making a decision! Thanks in advance for the help

P.S. I have done a lot of research into neighborhoods I guess im mostly looking to get a vibe check from everyone

Thinking of taking a job in Lisle, any advice?

As the title says im strongly considering a job offer there. The issue is im a young guy whos single so suburb living is really unappealing to me. If the job was commutable from the city id feel way more comfortable, im wondering if you guys know any places decently commutable to Lisle that would still be fun for a young person.

I was thinking Oak park, but the commute is still decently far and I think the place still caters towards families more then young single people and might just be a middle ground instead of actually benefiting from being in the city or being close to work. Budget isnt really an issue lets just say around 2500/month.

Thanks!
