How can I make this icon more intuitive to the player?

A friend has been beta testing my stealth game Turscar Isle for me. One of his pieces of feedback was that this particular icon in the first image isn't very intuitive. How can I improve that?

Explanation for the icons are in the following spoiler, because I want to see what other people think about it first.

Expanding my Dwarven Ireland mod

I shared this a month ago, but hadn't uploaded it to Steam yet. It's a fantasy-ish mod where Ireland has a dwarven civilisation, and follows on from the logical consequences of a good chunk of the population being less than 120cm/4ft tall.

It's now on Steam, and I've updated it further with some new focuses:

  • Naval patrol bombers (and an associated MIO). Lots of ocean to cover, and our CAS ain't going to cut it there.
  • Cruisers Effort. Sure, "corvettes" and subs have their uses, but some heavy cruisers would add some extra punch. Gives a couple of research bonuses to help us catch up, and unlocks a MIO for cruisers/battleships.
  • Battleships. On second thoughts...perhaps we do need them! Gives research bonuses for capital vessels.
  • Protecting our investments. Requires a non-aligned/corporate autocracy and to have completed the "External Investments" focus. Makes war goals easier for non-aligned, and adds an attack bonus against majors. The roleplay here is that the board of directors have had enough of the world's warmongers interfering with Business.

Focuses that I've changed/fixed:

  • "External Investments" now allows the non-aligned government to buy certain states via decisions. It's limited to Northern Ireland (for obvious reasons), Greenland (for resources), and the Faroes Islands for...fishing rights. I may expand this later.
  • "Big Bríd" actually builds a railway gun now. The project managers who pocketed the money have been beaten with loaded sticks.
  • The "State Serves Business" or "Affirm Faith" focuses will actually change government now, turning the current high king into a puppet of a megacorporation or the church. I've added a new spymaster for the non-aligned agency, with no image because he doesn't like being in the limelight.

And a new unit: dwarven tech support. Basically a combination of a maintenance company and a signal company, while not being as good as their dedicated counterparts.

So, on a scale of 1-10 for nonsense, where does this rate?

OCs from an urban fantasy story (by me)

Here's some OCs from an urban fantasy story I'm working on. All told, I'd say these took me about 12-14 hours to fill in from the original pencil sketches.

It starts grim, as three "unstable" young mages from the magic-banning Republic of Agmarastia are exiled to a psychiatric hospital for wizards in the city of Salognia. The first image here, which I completed yesterday, is the kids trying to pass the time while the staff try to figure out what they actually have.

But I'm planning to give them a happy ending, which is what the second image is here. That one is older, but hopefully they match close enough for this face-blind eejit to get away with it 😅

Turscar Isle: Lurk. Loot. Leave

Hi everyone, I'm a solo dev based in Galway, and I'm releasing a game in July. Not my first, either.

Turscar Isle is a first-person stealth extraction game where you rob a cult of spammers. You did read that correctly. And yes, it does use the Irish word for spam in the title.

How does "extraction" come into this? You decide when and how to leave. Not the game itself; not some arbitrary loot requirement. You, the player. And you get to rob a bunch of gobshites who deserve it. What's not to like?

Here's the Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4310920/Turscar_Isle/
