Visit Montreal

Hello everyone!

I'm visiting Montreal in the end of September for 5 days. I've built my itinerary ( btw mostly from browsing this sub, and I really appreciate all your responses). I would really appreciate if you guys could take a look at my plan and say how realistic it is. Also, could you please share places where I can buy inexpensive and tasty food? Maybe some decent cafes :) I will be eating once a day moslty and my budget will be up to $50 a day.

MY ITINERARY PLAN:

Day 1

  • Old Montreal
  • Old Port
  • a river-to-mountain walk from Pointe-à-Callière Archaeology and History Complex
  • Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal
  • Montreal City Hall
  • World Trade Centre Montréal
  • Centre de commerce mondial
  • A jazz brunch at Modavie (French restaurant)
  • Place d'Armes

Day 2

  • Mount Royal
  • Saint Joseph’s Oratory
  • Beaver Lake Fountain
  • Camillien-Houde belvedere
  • Kondiaronk Belvedere
  • Plateau-Mont-Royal neighbourhood

Day 3

  • Château Dufresne
  • Montreal Botanical Gardens
  • BioDome
  • Jean Talon

Day 4 – 1 day trip to the Quebec City (??)  - Not sure if the Quebec City day trip is worth it, your thoughts?

Day 5

  • Parc Jean-Drapeau
  • Tour de Lévis

 Thank you so much!

Hi everyone!

could you please advise what options i have? i want to keep my number and be able to receive 2FAs. I saw a post earlier with freedom mobile plan for a year, i could, in theory, buy one of those plans but im unsure if it’s viable option for my situation

GCKey shows FD but IRCC agent doesn’t see any FD

Hi everyone, I’m a bit confused about my application status and would appreciate any insight.

My GCKey shows: Final decision date: July 22, 2026 Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I finally called IRCC today and the agent told me: that the all assessments are passed (eligibility, criminality, security, medical), but no final decision is visible on their side (????). also, no correspondence and no ADR are showing (also confirmed with the agent)

What should i do :(

Is that a refusal or approval? CEC General Inland

Hi everyone!

Yesterday, I randomly checked my EE profile and saw a new message **"Final decision July 22, 2026** Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made." I haven't received anything since then. Honestly, I'm extremely nervous and don't even know if it's a refusal or approval. If it IS an approval, then why I still haven’t received portals??
