Looking for testers for a new iOS IPTV player

Hi everyone,

I’m pretty new to the world of IPTV, and one thing I noticed quickly is that a lot of IPTV apps feel frustrating to use. Some are overcomplicated, some feel outdated, some are expensive, and many assume you already know exactly what you’re doing.

So I’m hand-building a simple, free IPTV player for iPhone/iPad that tries to be more beginner-friendly, cleaner, and shaped by community feedback.

Current features include:

  • M3U and Xtream login support
  • EPG loading and auto-refresh
  • Favourites and continue watching
  • Duplicate channel grouping
  • Stream failover between duplicate channels
  • Native player plus VLC fallback for difficult streams
  • Category and channel visibility controls
  • Global channel search
  • Home screen with what’s currently playing
  • Large playlist optimisation

I’m looking for people willing to test it and give honest feedback, especially around:

  • Whether setup feels easy for beginners
  • What feels confusing or clunky
  • Playback reliability
  • EPG matching
  • Search and category organisation
  • What features would make it better as a daily-use IPTV app

Nuvio All-in-One Companion (formerly Patchbay) – major update and rebrand

I originally built this as a personal tool to make Nuvio profile management less awkward across devices and profiles, especially around configured manifest URLs, marketplace browsing, addon order/state, and tracking which addon creates which catalogue. I kept iterating, and this is now a much more complete companion app.

What changed since launch:

  • Rebrand: Patchbay is now Nuvio All-in-One Companion.
  • New home https://nuvio-companion.netlify.app/
  • Navigation overhaul: cleaner grouped sections for Add-ons, Collections, Profiles, and Settings.
  • Mobile UX improvements: better responsive behavior and cleaner compact header/title behavior.
  • Add-ons workflow upgrades: easier reorder, enable/disable, remove, and pending-change visibility.
  • Marketplace upgrades: improved search/filter/sort and smoother add flow for addon variants.
  • Plugins management: supplementary sources handled separately from core addons.
  • Collections expanded:
  1. My Collections editor
  2. Pre-built Collections browser
  3. Community Collections browser
  • Profile tools added:
  1. Profile Customisation
  2. Profile Clone
  3. Create Kids Profile flow
  • Settings inspector: easier access to profile/home JSON blobs for debugging and power users.
  • Sync feedback improvements: clearer push and pending-change status.

Still true (important):

  • It is still a static client-side HTML/JS tool.
  • No separate account system from me.
  • No backend of mine storing your data.
  • Browser talks directly to Nuvio’s public cloud API.
  • “Stay signed in” stores only the Nuvio refresh token locally in your own browser.
  • Not affiliated with Nuvio or Stremio.

Original Post

Feedback is welcome. I built this primarily for my own setup, but I’m happy to keep improving it if others find it useful too.

Patchbay: A Web-Based Nuvio Addon Manager with Marketplace Browsing and Profile Sync

I (and AI) made a small web tool called Patchbay for managing Nuvio addons more easily.

I built it for myself because I found it a bit awkward managing addons across devices/profiles, especially when dealing with configured manifest URLs, marketplace browsing (Stremio.Addons + instances built in), enabling/disabling addons, and figuring out which addon was creating which catalogue. Patchbay gives me one cleaner place to browse addons, add them to my Nuvio profile, reorder/disable/remove addon entries, inspect catalogues, and push the changes back to Nuvio.

A few notes:

  • It is just a static client-side HTML/JS tool.
  • No separate Patchbay account.
  • No backend of mine storing your data.
  • Your browser talks directly to Nuvio’s public cloud API.
  • “Stay signed in” only stores the Nuvio refresh token locally in your own browser.
  • Not affiliated with Nuvio or Stremio.

Feedback welcome so I can improve it for myself mostly!

How does the novated lease source the car?

Is it tied to a dealership if we have any issues? I’ve seen online there have been app setup issues, occasional defects etc.

What’s everyone’s wait times been?
