Pellet storage ?

Where do you guys store a few pallets of pellets? I am leaning toward unwrapping 3 pallets and repalletizing them in the basement. Its dry. A lot of labor but oh well.

Go for 2?

Good morning you hooligans , the house I bought last year was built in 1984, the sellers were in their mid 80s and USED to have a wood stove here , in 2015 they switched over to furnace as it was becoming too much to go up and down the stairs to maintain a wood-stove . I added a pellet stove upstairs as supplemental heat. ( check previous post ) However , I want to be fully on pellets so can I just disconnect the exhaust from the furnace and patch it and put a 2nd pellet stove where they used to have their wood-stove? I have questions like should I put like a heat shield up between the proposed pellet stove and furnace ? Is there a max length my cold air intake can be? Does anyone suggest I not do this ? And why ? I get a smokin’ deal on pellets ( haha ) . Should I disconnect the furnace and its entirety and wrap it in plastic and store it on a pallet in the corner of the basement ? Then what do I do about the duct work ? That pipe is a capped dry well , as far as fresh air intake is concerned does anyone suggest I tie onto that pipe and cut it flush outside and cap it for proposed pellet stoves fresh air intake ? I genuinely appreciate any insight on this

$1300/mo. What do ? ?

Hi. As of late I will be receiving $1300/mo Or $300/wk for the next 10 or so years. $15,600/annually.

Should I

  1. Pay off mortgage in 9 years by applying all to additional principal every month. ( 6.125% ) bought last year. (32m) would be mortgage free at 42 ish

  2. Max out 2 roths ( wife and I ) + 2 children.

  3. Lease a Range Rover for absolutely no reason

Doom machine

He prowleth the chambers at unseemly hours,
Toppling candlesticks, books, and neglected flowers.
He crieth for supper with sorrow profound,
As though he hath never once victuals found.

Comments or concerns?

Hello everyone , my family and I moved to Maine last year. Our total heating oil expense for our first winter season was close to 4 grand. Last month I picked this thing up for $450 with the piping included, minus the wall thimble I got on Amazon for like $200. I took it apart and cleaned it out good. And a friend and myself set it up as you see in the photos. I am very new to this , does anyone with experience happen to see any potential issues or anything that should be changed or to keep an eye on. My intent is to use this just to try to keep the oil expense a bit lower going forward.
