Zombie weapon load-out, thoughts?

Purely just weapons to carry.

  1. Steyr Aug with red dot and magnifier (already have this setup but not my image used here). A comfortable semi-auto gun chambered in 556 which is one of the most common calibers in the US so ~should~ be ways to find more ammo. Also has 42 rd mags. Alternatively, an AR would work but I like the Aug personally. With this site setup it is effective from 25-250yrds
  2. Beretta 92fs. It is a double stack 9mm handgun that holds 15 rds. Metal frame gives it good weight, lower recoil, hammer double action is more reliable/easier to service than striker fire of a Glock (although glocks are great). 9mm also easy to find. Effective range 0-40yds) (also already own).
  3. Spear. One of the oldest human weapons, easy to wield (foot soldiers were issued these while only skilled soldiers wielded swords in Middle Ages). Keeps zombies from getting too close. Can slash or stab.

Obviously a knife for utility use but any knife would do and I wouldn’t want to fight with it.

Thoughts?

Finally finished my home office/man space

What do we think? (I do want to replace the lamp in the corner but haven’t found the right one yet)

I finally did it rebuilt for the first time since 2012!! Republic Attack Gunship

I originally got this set as a Christmas present as a child when it was still on shelves. It got knocked off a closet shelf in 2012 and I did a janky repair job/customized it into a remade gunship not at all like the original in order to maximize troop capacity. Fast forward to today (14 years later: after college, grad school, about 7 different moves/apartments/homes, and marriage) and it is finally re-assembled. My Frankenstein’s monster I built out of the ruins in 2012 was long lost to my bins. I sorted through 6 bins each 12in tall, 18 in deep, 18 in across [probably 90 lbs of legos] bins shown in last image) to find the pieces. Over the last two weeks I’ve dedicated an hour or two each evening after work to hunt pieces and rebuild. I have hunted down nearly every piece (except some of the clear/grey tiles shown missing on the sliding door on right hand side) and rebuilt it to original guide for the first time in 14yrs, what a project! I couldn’t be happier. Thankfully even the original stickers were still attached despite being wrinkly and peeling. Let me know what you think! (Not pictured blue tube that goes in the empty slot in gunship bc I don’t like the way it looks)

Are these all extra pieces?

Just built the pod racing diorama and out of this bag of silver parts, only two were used in the whole set (on Anakin’s pod racer). There are multiple style of parts in this bag that weren’t used at all. Did u miss something?

Is this repairable? How?

Ordered an older Gungan set on eBay and the shield arrived like this. Can this be repaired? If so how?

I read online that acetone works to soften the plastic so it can be stuck back together. I tried this using some of my wife’s nail polish remover and it didn’t work. Any other tips or am I out of luck? I don’t want to hassle the eBay seller bc the rest of the set was in fine condition (although it arrived poorly packaged and I’m sure that’s why this shield broke). Would love any repair tips!

Anything that tastes similar?

I picked this up when I was in Ireland. It is impossible to find in-person in my state (US) or over $200 to ship in a bottle.

Does anyone know of another Irish single malt or even a Scotch that tastes similar?

I haven’t found anything else on the market yet that tastes like the Single Malts that Dingle makes (the best in my opinion).

These are all the minifigs in my republic and separatist armies. (Vehicles not shown)

Vehicles
Republic:
2008 era Republic Gunship
2024 era AT-TE
3 Clone Tanks
Assorted half dozen varies clone scout walkers

Separatist:
Hailfire droid
Homing spider droid
2 AATs (blue)
Corporate alliance droid tank
Droid transport
3 STAAPs

I think it’s very unfortunate how hard it is to find battledroids compared to clone troopers. Nearly every set ends up creating a lopsided army!

Hello, I am working on assembling components for a Battle of Naboo MOC from the Phantom Menace. I have plenty of battle droids and am working on acquiring the tan AATs. However, I need some advice on the Gungan army. These images show what I have so far.

Should I spend my money focused on acquiring more of the old Gungan models (green legs and torso with purple shield)? Or newer Gungan minifigs with head printing brown/legs torso and translucent purple shields)?

I don’t know which is more cost effective. I also have another Kaadu (the Gungan mount, in the mail shipping to me currently).

I want to accumulate at least 7 more minifigs and can’t decide between the older model, the newer model, or a mix of both (which I don’t like as much)
