Body dysmorphia with black skin

Does anyone else feel really isolated by having dark skin sometimes? It comes from comments from my closest family members and in subtle ways shows up in my interactions either others where it weakens my confidence. I feel like having darker skin and wavier hair means I have to do more work to look put together and building a healthy self image is really hard. I feel frustrated that there’s not enough representation of women with actually deep and dark skin as symbols of beauty in the media. Anyone who’s felt similarly in Pakistani society, how do yall cope and what helps you feel confident?

‘Kalay bachay’

Why do Pakistani parents treat their children’s skin as if they were not the one who gave us this💀
I feel so islolated and alien even, the way they act towards me, it’s already so hard being a woman in this fuckass society and then ur family members treating u this way just rips away ur self esteem, is it just me or have yall experienced this too? If yes I need to know some coping mechanisms ffs
