Apologies are bare minimum for offensive behavior, idols don’t need pity for having to say they’re sorry

Ive seen multiple times when an idol will do something culturally and racially insensitive, I don’t mean scenarios where they’re in the right but where they’ve deadass messed up and it’s wrong to everyone.

Apologies are the bare minimum, wether it was intentionally or not an apology is the easiest thing you can do. H2h are not victims for having to apologize for the wig. YOU may not see an issue with it but remember it’s not abt you. They’ve seen the issue and they moved to apologize to the ppl they did hurt.

And that’s the bare minimum, it’s not a punishment to have to apologize to someone you have wronged, its literally the easiest thing to do. Don’t make ppl vilains for expecting idols to show remorse for their behavior

Kpop is seen as embarrassing because of xenophobia and misogyny stop attempting to pander to bigots

Once again kpop stans will watch locals ridicule and mock Koreans as a whole and will try and turn it into a bgs make bad music or some bullshit. American artist make shit music too I can guarantee that it’s not cause of bgs.

It’s cause they think Koreans are weird, they’re racist, they think female centred media is embarrassing and too girly to take serious or respect. Football stans aren’t different from kpop stans but it’s their athletic buff western men so ofc it’s ok.

Even if kpop was all girls you should know they would still be racist and even more misogynistic. Blackpink and newjeans are some of the most popular girl groups in general and they still face the xenophobia and sexism that comes with being from kpop. Magnetic went viral and people still found a way to be weird.

Dolls, colours and books no matter how good and well done they are will be treated as shity lesser forms of entertainment. Be it because it’s targeted towards women or because poc are the spotlight of it. They don’t even care if it’s good or bad. Hundred and thousand of AMAZING kpop songs but they will never listen because women are the fan base and Koreans are the artists.

Edit: Western media has variations of the crazy parasocial fans kpop has I fear, football fans are just as bad and they’re the ones making fun of kpop. We can go back and forth about how each of these industries are very similar in fan culture but the conclusion will be that kpop is treated as worse cause it’s female targeted. Fan girls are inherently looked down on

Stop excusing adult members’ inappropriate behaviours with the minors in their groups

Kpop groups 9/10 times tend to have a 19-20 yr old and 15 yr old mixed in together which is better than just debuting all kids and expecting them to rely on staff with an inherent power imbalance BUT that does not mean adults should just have their way because of the myth of friendship or bonds

I have seen one too many times adults being inappropriate by kissing, groping or making sexual remarks at minors and that’s not ok by any means. And kpop stans should not defend it cause they’re friends or wtv. Adults can be friends with kids that’s ok and mostly normal but that doesn’t mean the adult/minor boundaries disappear.

You as an adult no matter how friendly you are with kids should not be acting like you’re the same age. Being the same gender does not make it any less weird or inappropriate.

These young idols usually live and are essentially raised by the adults in their groups. There is something very obviously wrong with an adult who basically serves as an idol’s guardian acting touchy and inappropriate because not only will they raise them thinking it’s ok, their comfort will be disregarded for the sake of an overly intimate friendship.

It’s not a boys being boys or that’s just how friends are, consent and boundaries are extremely important to establish between coworkers especially when a child is in the their midst. A lot of the behavior I’ve seen isn’t even normal between two adults or minors

Can we stop calling every single thing queerbait

Im not talking about idols making out or grinding on each other for clicks or wtv but the fact that any form of queer imagery symbolism and refrence is seen as bait.

Its actually so annoying that idols cannot interact or refrence queer culture and stories in any way before fake activist start screaming abt queer bait. Its imo this another way to stop queerness from infecting and appearing kpop no matter the context I dunno, it aligns with queer fans being dogged on for relating their own queer experiences with that of idols and getting called delusional or predatory. It treats being queer like some performance and fake label when it’s in reality a defining characteristic and part of someone’s identity.

And ppl have been accusing xlov of queer baiting for wtv reason???? They’re literally all gender queer and it’s irritating that kpop stans will misuse butch and femme, call their favs androgynous and then get mad at queer idols and call them fakers

Most idols aren’t even out and public about their sexuality so you guys could literally be screaming queerbait closeted idols who like many other queer ppl want to be representated and able to participate in queer pride even if they can’t come out.

It’s seriously annoying me cause a music video cannot be about girls falling inlove or anything cause it’ll be somehow taken as queer bait no matter how much love and care is put in. People used to accuse xg of queer baiting and here we are they have a genderqueer member 😭

That’s especially why I’m tired of ppl being salty about the inclusion of drag queens and dolls in kpop. These are demographics still being put into question and treated like problems and it warms my heart to see them being represented. Ppl refuse to believe that the inclusions of these icons can come from any place of good and somehow think including them is queer baiting too. Like yes we live in a society but trans ppl are not what kpop companies believe will boost their ratings.

Is Amanda Steinberg addicted to dark skin roles???

Them darkening her skin to play a dark skin character is horrendous. Basically the Zoe Saldana as nina and they somehow haven’t learn we don’t want that??? And this is the second time 💔 first it was in the hate you give and they just went and made her light skin but now in an attempt to maybe brush it of they applied tanning cream

260707 The teaser was ai generated and they didn’t even bother to get rid of the logo 🫤

I’m so disappointed about this. We were just praising them for hiring an indie artist only for them to go into Gemini and generate this 🙁.

Seeing Reveluvs get so defensive over it is sad knowing that in any other timeline rv would be all human work but kpop in general is so convinced they need to input AI everywhere and it’s so annoying.

I’m honestly wondering if they used ai to animate the art peice too seeing this, it feels like companies are to lazy to do anything by themselves now
Edit: showed this to my non kpop friend and she immediately guessed it was ai 🫤 so fucking obvious

Why are kpop stans unnaturally obsessed with an idol’s “image” when people are worried about or criticized the treatment of their favs?

Recently a member of triples went unconscious and had to be carried of stage in a rush. There’s been a lot of previous discussion on the way modhaus is managing them and I try to understand kpop stans don’t like seeing their favs be dissected but seeing people talk about how spreading the video was ruining her image made me realize something.

In an attempt to protect some form of reputation kpop stans will brush of things like this and hide them because they need to protect their favs somehow. This same member has passed out once before and I’m willing to bet their fans seeing it did not get viral did not push it or question management. What happening to triples is alarming and tying to hide moments for the sake of “image” is bullshit. Companies should not get away with draining your idols of their strength cause it’ll make your favs looks bad that bullshit.

And this mindset ends up hurting the idols cause you’ll look at clearly inappropriate behavior by management but because your idol is vulnerable you’re more focused on hiding them than asking the boss “why is she in this state???”

To me this stems from the fact kpop Stans physically struggle to separate their idols from the companies and realize that 9/10 times said idols are victims of companies with zero regard for their right and autonomy. If I say that an idol is being sexualized or abused do not react by claiming I’m projecting on your idol that’s bullshit. Think about the fact these idols are not in charge of how they are treated in this industry.

Also on a different level seeing mark fans begging people to delete the pictures of him in the shirt. It really shows that so a lot of stans they need to keep up the appearances of flawless and hide the faults and even victim hood of their favs.
