So I interviewed for an AI Generalist job with Linkedin, then got an offer!

I was skeptical as I wasn't sure if it was a legit job, so I contacted linkedin. They have responded in the past for other issues. This time it seems I got an AI response!...LOL. In this case I need a human response to ensure it's legit. I did respond to the initial AI response so hopefully I will hear from a human. I sent them everything: the job posting, the offer, and the recruiter's profile. It seems legit to me but really need to make sure because the next step is onboarding where I need to furnish them with my SS# and other PII.

I am wondering if anyone here holds a similar role? This would be similar to a job with mercor or Data Annotation, etc.

I recently rejoined IBM Skillsbuild and received confirmation that my account is ready. However, when I log in I keep getting the prompt: 'Our Apologies..Yada Yada Yada,,,,,,Try Again!". I am assuming it could be because I have another account? I did contact support.

Has anyone else experience this and how did they resolve it?

I’m curious, do most of you have more than just a TEFL, like a credential or graduate degree?

I have a BA degree along with a TEFL but have a great deal of teaching experience with a federal program in the States and taught in Asia for a number of years: English and Math.

I’m considering return but would like to secure a higher paying gig, more than a newbie at the very least…Lol

I’m considering returning to Thailand or Vietnam.

I've recently corresponded with Teach Thailand and Expat Resources. Wondering if anyone work with these organizations and what your experience has been like? Also, are there any that you can suggest?

I have taught in Thailand before and am interested in returning. I have a preference for teaching in the North in a small town that has a high need for foreign teachers. Perhaps you have some suggestions for schools?

My background is mainly in Education. I taught in the States for several years and also in Asia. My experience is in ESL and Math.

I'd love to return to Asia: SE Asia or Japan. I would consider teaching but would love to do something outside of the classroom like curriculum development or ID/L&D. Would consider suggestions too. And I would consider any work environment: In-person, hybrid, or remote. Thanks

I've heard Uzbekistan is a pleasant place for foreigners or expats.

I just onboarded and am aware that Mercor is legit. However I do question how secure my private data. I suppose it’s not safe anywhere in 2026.

I didn’t get a job description yet. So I’m wondering if another GE can share their experience and responsibilities in this role. I know it depends on the field, but the responsibilities should be universal generally speaking? Would appreciate learning more. Thanks

I live in the SF Bay Area.

My primary career was in Education as an instructor with a big nonprofit, federal program.
I never earned a credential but have extensive teaching experience.

I also held a few government jobs in HSA.

I been trying to pivot to L&D and ID for sometime now despite building and revising a portfolio, no luck.

Additionally, I earned certs in cyber and data for personal knowledge and to see how I like it. I especially like Cybersecurity but it is near impossible to break into it.

Perhaps there are some fields I haven’t considered yet?

Would appreciate some suggestions.

I want to create a Math video with a visual of the difference between a Perimeter and Area of a Rectangle. It would be very helpful to students if I can make it animated but am not sure how to go about this? What tools to use, etc.? Are there add-on tools I need?

Also, generally, what are some helpful tools to use for foundational Math?
