I feel more connected to characters from the media than my sona
So I've made a yumesona and everything, and I like his design, but I don't feel attachment to it, so when I draw my sona with one of my F/Os, I'm not happy with it. I try to roleplay as my sona, supposed to be me ig, and my (IRL) partner is usually pretending to be my F/O, but it feels on my end awkward this way.
However, when I roleplay as a media character/draw with it instead, I feel like me SO extremely, and I'm happy and everything and it genuinely feels like connection between us.
But also it makes me kinda sad too, because I don't think it would count as a yumeship anymore if I'm using it.
One of my main examples is my most recent F/O. I ship with an AU version of Light Yagami from Death Note (I have way too many DN yumes...) where he's a singer (kinda like a mix of him and 2010s Justin Bieber lol).
Sometimes, I try to do my thing with my sona, and then I end up switching to the AU version of L in this (basically the same as canon except he's [I'm?] 18 and Light's roommate) and It feels like me way more than my sona.
I feel like this may not make sense. So sorry if It doesn't, I was just wondering if others felt this way, or do it like this? I don't know. It's been weighing over me for a while.
