Anbernic 556 best price for ps2 and GameCube?

After recent unexpected events I’m in the market for a handheld that can do GameCube and ps2 maybe 3 Wii games at 1x resolution 100 percent, I don’t need 2x. I’m also looking for a warranty but the website doesn’t offer or hides it. Do I have to buy through Amazon to get a 3 year?

I just started looking today and my guess is this is the one, unless there’s one a little slower and cheaper but can still do 1x 100 GC & PS2.

Hopefully this one lasts longer than two years. I guess I should also check if anbernic has a history of spontaneous combustion?

Wow you guys weren’t kidding about retroid pockets catching on fire.

I’ve got rp3+ and the charger is melted into the rp3+ charging port, now I have to babysit a handheld in case it catches on fire overnight.

Still turns on though the battery is only going to last from now until it runs dead unless I figure out how to chop out the usb c melted into it. Touch screen is pretty much fried. Got it in September 2023 so there’s the “it’s old you deserve to die” warning on the first ever time that cable and charger decided to super charge.

For FX VR, Zen says “new features” for July update, what are the odds it will be fun new features like a custom arcade where you can simply put in your own tables in one large hallway like you can in MR? Strobe mode for better realism?

The default VR version is too 80’s retro for me, too dark and with tables too spaced out. Their red carpet pc version looks a lot better. Heck’ maybe we can just choose the floors, lights or light color, walls, ceilings.

I’d honestly be fine with a cube room or hallway of only my owned tables. It would be cool to place tables around in the VR environment the same way I can in the MR environment.

Sure you can swap tables, but their spacing is forced and you have to walk down into a series of rooms to do it. If you own more than 4 tables they don’t fit in the vr environment but then you can squeeze 7 tables into a real life equivalent.

Basically, dark VR room is cool but cliche. Do I really need to do MR to get all my pinball tables in a line or closer? It doesn’t seem to be a rendering issue in MR.

Finally, I see lots of games in the pc version of FX can strobe, in VR version the lights and strobes are removed. Getaway 2 is the biggest example. Is this some safety feature for VR that was thankfully never put into regular FX? You know when you watch YouTube videos of real life pinball and you’re thinking “oh it’s missing that” aside from rougher but more realistic ball acceleration/deceleration and general physics, it’s the flashing and strobes. It doesn’t need to be raytraced, just a simple bake of on/off on a transparency layer between the effects. Old 2dpinball games could prerender it maybe just at the table plane layer it would be enough.

Muzzle flash mod with those little streaks?

When firing there’s the flash but then there’s also those bright streaks that flair out tiny bright particles. Are those mods to throw in this detail? Is there a mod that could make larger movie muzzle flashes? Not sure what I’m asking for, a Hollywood mod? Shell casings carrying some smoke trails behind them as they eject?

I noticed Doom Eternal has mods now? Is there a mod to make it play more like 2016?

I tried vanilla doom eternal way back and I just couldn’t enjoy it, it looks like someone put doom 1 campaign in there, is there a version of doom eternal without the weapon gimmicks and mini boss battles?

What’s the most colorful virtual pinball table? The most like the Rick and Morty table I guess?

That one is like a pachinko and slot machine combined. If it works in VR and especially if it makes the classic noises you got me all day.
