4K DLSS 4.5 Ultra Performance Preset L + Ray Reconstruction (F) - is it that good?

Hi, everyone! Is DLSS 4.5 Ultra Performance really that good? I've looked through previous Reddit posts about DLSS 4.5 Ultra Performance, and some opinions seem surprisingly positive, although some people aren't impressed. I've also watched several YouTube benchmarks recently, and many creators seem impressed with the image quality and consider it a playable experience.
One of my biggest concerns is how good 4K DLSS Ultra Performance actually is compared to 1440p DLSS Quality, with Ray Reconstruction enabled as I'm going to use it only in Path Tracing games.

How I would use each resolution:
4K: DLSS Ultra Performance + Ray Reconstruction (F) in path tracing games as it gets me more than 60 fps and online FPS games for maxing the frame rate. For games without path tracing, I'd use DLSS Quality or Performance, depending on how demanding they are.
1440p: DLSS Quality or Balanced in every game, since it gives me at least 60 FPS even with path tracing.

Curently I am on a 1080p monitor and trying to decide between 1440p or 4k monitor.

TL;DR: Is 4K DLSS UP + RR (F) better than 1440p DLSS Q or B + RR?

4K DLSS ULTRA PERFORMANCE OR 1440p DLSS QUALITY

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a new monitor and I’m having a hard time deciding between a 32” 4K OLED and a 27” 1440p OLED.
Currently I am on a 1080p TN monitor with 5070TI + i5-14600K on a DDR4 platform.
The thing is I don't really know if 4K is significantly better than 1440p or if 4K DLSS Ultra Performance is better than 1440p DLSS Quality. I tried to compare them on my monitor but I cannot see any difference since I am on 1080p.
Based on benchmarks, on every game at 4K with Path Tracing, I get +60 FPS with DLSS Ultra Performance and roughly 40-50 FPS with DLSS Performance, so at 4K I’ll mostly be relying on Ultra Performance. On 1440p DLSS Q I get over +60 FPS most of the time.
Which will be the better choice, 4K or 1440p?

How much does motion interpolation help with 30 FPS gaming on OLED?

I currently have a 4K LCD TV, and 30 FPS actually feels fairly smooth to me. However, I get some noticeable ghosting and character/body deformation when moving, and very occasionally I notice it while driving in games.

I’m considering buying an LG or Samsung OLED, as GTA 6 is on the way, and I’m wondering how much better 30 FPS gaming would look with motion interpolation.

Since OLED has much faster pixel response times than LCD, would motion interpolation make 30 FPS gaming look smoother and work significantly better, potentially reducing the ghosting/deformation artifacts?

PC upgrade: 5070 Ti with I5-10400F at 1440p/4k

Current PC:
RTX 2060
Intel i5-10400F
Z490 motherboard
16GB DDR4 RAM Corsair
500GB SSD
1TB HDD
600W PSU

Option 1 (1500$):
5070 Ti
1440p OLED monitor
750W PSU

Option 2 (1500$):
5070
R7 5700x
B550
1x8GB DDR4 RAM Corsair
1440p OLED monitor

The budget is 1500$. I’m thinking about upgrading from 2060 to 5070 Ti and pairing it with a 1440p OLED monitor, while keeping my current platform for a while. The plan would be to keep the i5-10400F, then upgrade the whole platform to AM5.
I mainly want to play AAA single-player games like Cyberpunk 2077 (with Path Tracing), Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V etc. on 1440p or 4k. I am also okay with using DLSS and FG.
Would the i5-10400F be good enough at 1440p or would it bottleneck the 5070 Ti so much that it wouldn’t be worth buying it?

OLED Monitors - How often do you get VRR Flickers?

How often do you get VRR Flicker while playing video games?

I am planning to buy either 4k or 1440p OLED, but I am just not sure how bad is this VRR Flicker thing as I might find it as deal breaker, as I've seen in other people reviews.

I mostly want to play story mode/single player games for example Cyberpunk where performances with 5070ti on 1440p and 5080 on 4k are similar with DLSS.
(CPU - R7 9800x3d)

For example in Cyberpunk:
5070ti with DLSS Q on 1440p Ultra RT: 60-100 FPS
5080 with DLSS P on 4k Ultra RT: 60-100 FPS
With Path Tracing they both average 60 FPS (maybe higher with an OC).

Will VRR Flicker make my experience worse? Should I still go with an OLED monitor or should I choose something like a MINI-LED instead?

Is RT or PT actually worth the extra money?

Hello everyone!

I already ordered an ASUS TUF RTX 5070 Ti OC and it’s on the way, but I’ve started second-guessing myself after seeing tons of GPU comparisons on TikTok. A lot of people say the RX 9070 XT offers very similar raster performance for much less money, and that FSR 4 has gotten extremely close to DLSS.

The thing is, I’ve never experienced proper Ray Tracing or Path Tracing before (my current PC can’t handle it), so I have no idea how big the real-world “wow” factor actually is. I can’t really tell the difference just from YouTube videos, so I’m mostly relying on your experience.

My original plan was to game at 4K with RT Ultra or RT Overdrive using DLSS Quality/Performance. From the benchmarks I’ve seen, RT Ultra stays comfortably above ~ 60 FPS with DLSS Performance, while Path Tracing hovers around ~ 45 FPS.

That’s what’s making me question my choice:

  1. Is the visual upgrade from RT/PT at 4K actually worth the extra 400€ on a 4K OLED?
  2. Or would the RX 9070 XT + native 4K / FSR Quality (or 1440p + FSR Quality with RT) be the smarter move in practice?

Should I return the 5070 Ti and get the 9070 XT instead?

For context:

- Planning to buy a 4K OLED monitor

- Mostly play AAA single-player games

I’d really appreciate honest opinions from people who have actually used both raster-only and full RT/PT setups at 4K. Thanks!

TL;DR: I already ordered an RTX 5070 Ti but I’m second-guessing switching to an RX 9070 XT because it’s 400€ cheaper. I want to game at 4K on an OLED and I mostly play AAA single-player games, but I’ve never used RT or PT before. My question is whether RT/PT at 4K with DLSS on the 5070 Ti is worth the extra money, or if the 9070 XT with native 4K / FSR is the better value.
