Question on installing a flat handlebar on a dropdown frame

Bear with me as I am gestating my next project, which is building a new bike altogether and NOT a conversion.

If I understand it correctly, since flatbar frame has longer top tube than a dropdown frame, installing a flat handlebar on a dropdown frame necessitates either 1) a shorter stem or 2) an dropdown frame that is one size larger than my usual. Is this correct?

edit: reworded for clarity

Marin Corta Madera, how would you modify this bike?

I have a size-M non-disc version of this bike:

while I am aware that it is a hybrid, based on its geometry how would you convert it so that it's best serve a touring purpose? The bike currently fits me just fine for a commute, I just want to extend its capacity for a little bit. Thank you!

Purchased too much sugared soymilk by mistake, need dessert recipe

So, I bought too much sugared soymilk by mistake (think 20 litres); normally I drink non-sugared soymilk on the daily, but sugared one messes with me. Hence, i'm appreciating all and any non-baking recipe that would take up all the milk; non-bake because i don't have an oven at home. Thank you in advance.

Quelqu'un pourrait expliquer cette phrase de Coluche: « Le tennis et le ping-pong, c'est pareil. Sauf qu'au tennis, les joueurs sont debout sur la table » ?

softer pads for HD600?

Hi, I have a pair of HD600 that I love but I find that I cannot listen for too long because of how hard the pads are. It does give me a minor migraine over time, in addition to heat problem. Hence, I am looking for something that are either softer or thinner or both. Thinner pads wouldnt really be a problem, since I have a big head and am already wearing the HD600 at max extension. Thanks to all responses.

Additionally, I prefer options that are easily found in Europe.

Any German speakers here? How reliable are D/G's translations in German?

not a German speaker but have a friend who does.

  1. How are "accurate" are the translations? "accurate" in bracket, because i am aware that this is a very multi-faceted and open problem, so feel free to discuss any aspect that you'd like to.

  2. How readable are they with regarss to German idiomatics?

  3. Are they well-annotated for those who are not familiar with D/G'a references?

  4. Qualities of course would vary, so which translations are of better quality? or are they similar in this regards?

Thank you and much appreciated!
