43M and my favourite exercise has started destroying me.
Pull ups have been my staple exercise for years, they felt like the one-move cheat code to upper body strength. For the last year or so, though, they've given my forearms and elbows hell. I cut back the amount I was doing, but just the other day I hurt something around my scapula and now I feel like a broken-down old man and am taking a rest from all upper body work.
Anyone got tips on maintaining pull ups as you age and dealing with elbow tendonitis? I used to do a total of 50 reps per workout 2 or 3 times per week (mix of overhand and neutral grip), then dropped it to 30 with 1 set of 10 and 4 sets of 5.
I've been going to a physio which really helped with the forearm pain, but the tendonitis (golfer's elbow) is just progressively getting worse despite regularly doing all the physio exercises.
Anyone tried the Redback Whistlers? Looks like a rip-off of the Blundstone 1306 but are still Australian-made with better cushioning and inner lining.
MG4 owners, would you recommend buying a used one?
There are quite a few for sale under $30k, which seems like a good deal for a runabout. I'm after a basic car and am not interested in high-tech features or fancy interiors, and would be happy with a mechanically reliable car with reasonably comfortable seats and ride quality.
I don't live near an MG dealer so the less chance of needing warranty repairs the better.
Good car for parking in a side street to delay going home after work?
Looking for something comfortable with a good sound system and dark tint. Ideally it would have a way to keep a six pack cold and enough sound insulation to prevent passers-by hearing me cry.
How risky is it to buy a BYD if I don't live near an authorised dealer/repairer?
I'm in Alice Springs, the nearest BYD dealer is in Adelaide or Darwin, both 1500km away. There are EV mechanics in town though.
I'm just worried about potential warranty work.
