RoyaleBoy 3000 MkV

RoyaleBoy 3000 MkV

This is my playful take on the Fallout TV show's PipBoy 3000 MkV. I originally wanted to put a bund behind a budget metal strap but I found it awkward after wearing a NATO strap on a G-Shock for years. Ripping the velcro makes me feel like I'm in gradeschool, but i can't deny the comfort!

Only downside of the mod is the reduced volume of the alarm sounds, but otherwise it's been a blast customizing this thing.

2D20 Wasteland Wanderer Play Log: Signals

Afternoon, wastelanders! I have been working on a solo campaign called Signals that I wanted to share. The game is contained in a web published obsidian format you can access as a read-only website here:

https://fallout2d20wwsignals.vercel.app/

I wanted to challenge myself to learn how to write fiction, so it is more of a chapter-stye thing rather than journal entries. I hope you enjoy exploring the wastes with me!

FO2D20 SOLO: Try Your Luck & Critical Success

Hello Solo Wasteland Wanderers and 2D20 veterans!

I need a little bit of advice and opinion about the WW rules, specifically the Try Your Luck mechanic and rolling a 1 in the same attempt. The RAW states that rolling under your luck attribute in this case always results in a critical success, something that just occurred in my playthrough while attempting a difficulty 2 lock picking skill test with a 1/12 as a result of the 2d20 roll.

If this happened in your game, would you simply track the x2 success and call it a day? Or would you stack the crits for additional success, say, x3 or x4? It isn't terribly important for my progression, I just couldn't find an easy answer in the book or online and want to establish a consistency going forward.

Thanks!
