Minefields and engineering vehicles

I've been thinking that one of the most interesting mechanics the game could add is proper mine warfare.

It would be great to have both anti-personnel and anti-tank mines that could be deployed to deny key roads, chokepoints, or protect flanks. This would make reconnaissance and engineering units much more valuable instead of every push being a straightforward tank rush.

To balance this, the game could introduce actual mine-clearing mechanics. We already have several engineering vehicles that were historically designed for breaching minefields. It would be much more interesting if they could clear safe paths through minefields for advancing units.

This could also open the door for dedicated engineering gameplay: laying minefields, clearing them, protecting breaching vehicles, and forcing opponents to think twice before blindly pushing armor.

I think this would add a lot of tactical depth without changing the core gameplay too much.
