small portable evaporative cooler in dry climate?

the power company here in utah is hinting at brown outs but not exactly warning for them and I was considering buying a hessaire mc21v at home depot incase the power goes out when its hot as balls outside and they use next to no electricity. I have a small solar generator and was figuring it might be worth the water and electricity to use it to cool a room in the summer if the power does go out.

If you don't know what an evaporative cooler is its because they only work if the humidity is below 40% they are relatively common in the southwestern part of the country because of this.

What does the redditor say though?

Why are people afraid of beaters?

I have pretty much my entire life driven beaters other than one Pontiac they have all been pretty reliable and usually easy to fix I even managed to get 130k miles out of a 67 Ford f100 that was documented to already have 203k on it.

Sure I've only owned 3 cars in my life with working air-conditioning but none of them left me stranded

I just for the life of me don't understand why people are afraid of them. A basic tool set isn't that expensive along with a little YouTube University and you got yourself a cheap outfit that will most likely treat you right.

A dream radio station idea

I know that there isn't a lot of money in radio but I had a dream of starting a heavy metal radio station for the greater slc market based on the main reason it would be different and that advertising might follow.

I base this off of a licensing issue with another radio station a long time ago that while the issue was being fixed played a 15 song techno loop that I heard people listening to everywhere I went and even asked some of them why they were listening to it and the main reason was "it's something different"

I figured if I didn't lose my ass in the process I would start a second one being an edm format.

Don't know what I would call the company but it's slogan would be "responsible for more speeding tickets than a full bladder"

What size hooks?

I know this is a page more about lure building than painting. I just bought a bag of these little fellas off AliExpress forever ago.

Just curious what kind or size of hooks I should slap on em. They are roughly an inch long.

Treble, single and what size?

sleep deprivation?

I have had maybe 4 hours of sleep in the last couple of days. been taking my meds etc.

however i'm concerned that this is the beginning of a new episode. like I was really looking forward to watching the stanley cup finals but i couldn't tell if they were playing annoying sound effects at the stadium or if i was hallucinating them so i turned it off.

I just don't wanna go through this shit again because I finally have started to get my life together and don't need another kick in the balls

having a bit of trouble.

I have two diatonic harmonicas in C

A Fender Blues Deluxe and an Easttop 008L

I like the comb on the Blues Beluxe more but found the Easttop to be a superior harmonica

i'm just having a harder time playing the Easttop with its more recessed comb. Any Tips?

Raccoon hunting question

My buddy got mauled by a raccoon the other day and I'm wondering if 4 shot out of a .410 is going to kill it or piss it off. My other option is a .22lr

I own other guns but these two are the quietest.

The UHP has started using drones for speed enforcement and the only thing I can think is that if you blasted your happy ass up to 90 to pass someone and it clocked you and you slowed back down to somewhere around 80 in an 80 and a cop pulls you over even though an officer is operating the drone the man on the ground never observed you speeding. wouldn't this be grounds for a dismissal?

I know this isn't a law sub i just thought I would ask here since its new thing in Utah.

I mean we already have flock cameras operated by the DEA in this state.

I normally start all my pepper plants but aphids destroyed them and then i didn't dilute soapy water enough to not do the plants in. however Lowes used to have a huge selection of peppers and I don't think I even saw a habanero plant for sale. they primarily have bonnie plants though they had some ferry morse for way cheaper but the most exotic pepper they had was suishitos.

do they generally put out more diverse plants closer to planting season or are they just bad at judging the market? because I ended up at walmart and bought the last two cayenne plants.

I do know that local nurseries exist its just the one closest to my house is very bad at labeling plants and the other one i am probably going to is a drive.

they also have a charity plant sale coming up that has a huge variety of tomatoes but not sure about the peppers.

but, why do big box stores have such a bad selection of not only plants but, of seeds too?

My local smiths/kroger has them preseasoned in 2 packs for like $4 tops for two quarters along with bags of them that also aren't very expensive.

Cook them at like 400F for an hour and they are tender greasy goodness that I would pair with a baked potato or some kind of bread.

just thought I would share this
