I have a new Fiio M21, and am looking for the best 1TB SD card for the money — Amazon lists the SanDisk Extreme for $205, but it lists the SanDisk Gameplay 1TB for $149. Can I use the Gameplay? Does the Fiio automatically format it upon insertion, or is there an app I have to run to make that happen?

Is there a better more affordable choice?

I'm looking to pull the trigger on a DAP (looking at the Fiio M21, primarily because I can use it as desktop and portable), but am trying to justify it on reasons other than it seems cool, and don't want it to be yet another device that I don't use.

I currently have a Sonos system throughout my place (Sonos amps driving ceiling speakers and a pair Klipsch 701s), and I have Sennheiser Momentum 4 cans that I use when I can't blast my stereo (eg, my partner needs silence, shrug). I currently subscribe to Qobuz, to play through Sonos, and through my iPhone with my Sennheisers. I use Apple Music for "on the go" because I've found that Qobuz simply doesn't travel well, either walking around the City (ear buds) or in the car. And, I subscribe to YouTube Premium (with the music) so I don't get ads when I watch/listen to concerts on my TV. I'm definitely not an "audiophile", but I like my music to sound good.

So, as for a DAP -- what's my use case? Buy music from Quboz, Bandcamp and have a better experience with my Sennheiser? Better walking around music? In the Car? Do I drop a music service or keep them?

I know I might get laughed at here for what may be a silly question or, worse, a first world problem, but hope I get some empathy and maybe some sound advice, maybe only a small pun intended?

I have a Tern QuickHaul Long with the Tern club seats in the back for my grandkids. While traversing the potholed streets of San Francisco I often find my old back getting seriously jarred as I somehow find these monsters.

The shop where I bought it showed me a seat post that had a spring in it, but advised me against installing that because of a fear of it coming down and smashing my grandkids’ fingers.

Any thoughts or ideas on some other would work and that’s safe?
