Any mechanics in here just out of curiosity what are you making an hour?

I want to ask for a raise but curious what the baseline is. For reference im at a public course in northeastern U.S and i can do pretty much any job that is golf course related, even help out at out brother/ sister courses. Thanks

So im a mechanic at a public golf course and we have a fleet of 2018 Yamahas DR2A18 Carburated. For the last several years a few carts here and there have shown up and had gasoline in the oil.

After diagnosing for a while we assumed it was getting there because of blow by (shooting past the piston rings) so we have just been ordering rings and gaskets and rebuilding the engines, and for the most part it has seem to work.

Now i started working on one and about halfway through pulling the engine out i noticed it was a cart that had already been done before. This got me thinking maybe its not the rings this time. After a little bit of research i have read that fuel can get into the oil by a stuck float in the carburetor or maybe a burst diaphragm in the fuel pump.

But before i dove trying to diagnose all those i figure somebody out there is likely having this problem too, so has anybody had this issue, know anyone else that has dealt with this? or just any general advice. Thanks
