First Time Rejection after Kujituma..

Not ranting anymore. Giving it a break for now.

Just a request out there. I stay in 87(junction ya that nyama joint), in the morning, i talked myself into 'kujituma'. If i can call it that. But i have to start from somewhere. I walked in to this kasmall eatery joint apo petrol station after total, found two ladies, asked the one upfront

"Hi, munaeza taka mfanyikazi mmoja extra?"

She smiled and blushed and said "Apana, kwa sai tuko sawa"

I said thank you and left. I am going back again to leave my number and tell her just incase one more person is needed anipigie asap.

That experience of my first ever rejection after kujituma just pumped my adrenaline up and i barely felt demotivated.

Long story short, wenye wanaishi 87 na Kinoo please connect me to these opportunities za casual gigs. (Kuosha viombo kwa hotels etc, sweeping and cleaning barber shops and salons, mama fua) These kind of gigs. Please. I need to get money for (food ya kila siku, offset rent arrears kidogo kidogo, getting my laptop from the fundi)

DM too if you need such services or you know someone who does.

This is also an easier way to reach me off Reddit. Just created a whatsapp group. I figure its easier. 87-Kinoo Casual Jobs and Services

Blogging that allows adult content.

So i did a small research. This is a sort of passive marketing for me as aan author of adult stories. I compared wordpress to blogger. Blogger is free yes, currently trying to get the hang of it. Wordpress on the other hand, i have used it over the years and it honestly is a better fit for me but it does restrict adult content, how explicit, i'm not so sure. I wrote like two chapter on my blog then add a link to the book on books2read with a CTA.

My question is, if anyone has come across adult stories on the two blogging sites mentioned, which one seems friendly enough to post adult content. I'm not including the explicit erotic ones.

Have your old resistors drifted way out of spec before?

I’ve been repairing an old IBM monitor recently and stumbled into something I honestly didn’t expect at all. I knew capacitors commonly fail with age, but I didn’t realize old resistors could drift this badly too. After chasing brightness and scan line issues forever, I finally started testing more components and found multiple resistors reading completely wrong. One resistor that should’ve been around 10M measured closer to 6M, which already surprised me. Then I kept testing and discovered several more old resistors way outside tolerance. The weird thing is most of them still looked physically fine. No burning, cracking, or obvious damage anywhere.

Now I’m wondering how common this really is with vintage electronics. I always assumed resistors were one of the safer components to trust unless visibly damaged. I even ended up reading repair discussions involving surplus resistor inventories and online electronics suppliers because I’m trying to decide whether bulk replacement assortments are worth keeping around.

For people repairing older computers or monitors regularly, have old resistors caused more issues for you than expected over the years?

Any Alternatives?

Hello.

Kindly help.

In the good faith of trying my best at getting gigs- and failing miserably- i stumbled upon this one. Given i'm not trying to unalive myself or rob a bank for sustenance. Anyway that is beside the point. So i have been on here for this now makes it week four. And its like people on there literally have their phones on high alert because when i see a notification pop up say at 07:00 am. By 07:00am its gone. Even before i click on it. Not that i'm slow. Anyway i'm here asking to be connected to gigs that can help me :

  1. Get za kabej for food daily, at this point i'll starve to death.
  2. Save up even upto two kay to start offsetting my rent arears, agent ameanza kupiga simu and i'm scared.
  3. Save all of five kay to finally fix my laptop which will in turn fix all of my problems. Literally.

I am stressed out to the point i can not sleep, my shoulders get so stiff, i forget to breathe sometimes. (This one time i ranted uko kenya subreddit -advise zilikua mingi about my then case, those that shared job opportunities nliapply mbio mbio still waiting for feedback- but anyway lemmie try my luck again)

Is buying a copper shredder machine worth it for small scrap work?

I’ve been thinking about buying a small copper shredder machine for my scrap setup, but I honestly can’t tell if it would help enough to justify the cost. Right now I mostly deal with leftover wire, small motors, and random electrical scrap from repair jobs. A lot of it just piles up because separating everything manually takes forever.

The main thing confusing me is how shredded copper gets graded afterward. Some people say shredding helps increase efficiency and separation, while others claim yards will still downgrade mixed material unless it’s processed really cleanly. Since I’m still pretty small scale, I don’t wanna spend a bunch of money and realize I barely improved my returns.

I’ve looked at different compact scrap metal shredders online and the pricing is all over the place. Some machines look identical but somehow have completely different price tags. I even ended up reading factory specs from online industrial equipment suppliers trying to compare motors, blades, and throughput numbers, which kinda melted my brain after a while.

For anybody already running small scrap operations, did buying a shredder noticeably improve your copper profits?

Do rolling mills make round wire or am I misunderstanding this?

I’ve been getting more serious about jewelry making lately and finally started understanding why so many people eventually buy rolling mills. At first I thought they were mostly for flattening sheet metal, but now I’m realizing they seem useful for shaping wire too. The confusing part is I can barely find rolling mills with grooves for true round wire.

Most of the ones I’ve looked at focus on sheet, square wire, or half round profiles. So now I’m sitting here wondering how jewelers consistently make smooth round wire without buying another completely separate machine. Do most people start with square wire and then pull it through a draw plate afterward?

I started reading more about industrial tube mill lines and wire rolling systems out of curiosity and suddenly the whole process seems way more technical than I realized. Some jewelry equipment discussions compared smaller rolling mills from Alibaba tool manufacturers versus premium brands, but nobody really explained the full wire shaping workflow clearly.

For people already experienced with rolling mills, how are you turning shaped stock into proper round wire without ending up uneven or twisted?

Jealousy or Lust?

For the Men....

So here is the thing. Say You have a friend who is dating this absolutely stunning woman. Every time she comes around, while you and your boy are hanging out, you can barely keep it together. Y'all barely talk, but you swear she knows the effect she has on you. Sometimes it feels deliberate. Idk.

Do y'all like think about y'all boys' girls while they have no idea? Like unamezea tu chini ya maji. Everytime ni kusema tu "Lucky Bastard" ukisport wood. Ama y'all wish your boys' girl was yours?

Are there clear signs a bottle came from stretch blow moulding machines?

I’ve been trying to learn more about bottle manufacturing lately and one thing I keep wondering is whether there are obvious visual signs showing a bottle came from stretch blow moulding machines specifically. With injection molding it feels easier because you can usually spot gate marks, parting lines, ejector points, and stuff like that once you know what to look for.

But with bottles I feel less confident identifying the process. Some containers have seam lines running vertically while others barely show anything at all. I started paying way too much attention to water bottles in grocery stores now and probably look insane checking bottoms and neck finishes everywhere.

I know certain bottle shapes practically require stretch blow moulding machines, especially PET beverage containers, but I’m curious what experienced people immediately notice when identifying manufacturing methods. I even found technical discussions connected to online molding equipment suppliers comparing one stage versus two stage bottle systems, which only made me notice more tiny differences.

For people working around plastics manufacturing, what are the clearest giveaways that a product was stretch blow moulded instead of injection moulded?

Would you buy and read erotica stories with forbidden themes.

I spent the better half of last week looking into erotica content by africans, kenya to be specific and i must say, people are good out here. As much as there aren't many erotic literature postings and publishings, the ones online are read worthy if i do say so myself. Away from that. As a kenyan author who writes different themes i am here to sort of share a link to a subreddit i created just a few hours ago. I have yet to tap into my erotic perspective of local pleasures but they are coming, oooooh boy are they coming.

For those who read taboo stories and are not biased with the location setting then please welcome aboard.

Looking for a Turkish perfume that smells like white soap.

I genuinely think Turkish white soap might be one of the most comforting smells on earth. I grew up visiting family in Turkey pretty often and there’s this very specific clean scent that still instantly sends my brain back to summer mornings there. The classic white soap bars, fresh towels, warm air coming through windows, all of it.

The problem is every “clean girl” perfume recommendation I try completely misses that feeling. A lot of them smell too sharp, too powdery, or weirdly artificial to me. I don’t want laundry detergent vibes. I want that soft Turkish perfume style that smells clean in a warm human way instead of chemically fresh.

I used to think I liked super sweet perfumes because those were trendy everywhere, but lately I’ve realized the fragrances I emotionally connect to most are these simple soapy scents. I even checked perfume oil discussions from online reviews and fragrance suppliers trying to figure out what ingredients create that Turkish white soap smell.

Does anybody know perfumes that genuinely smell like Turkish soap bars or fresh olive soap without turning overly floral or sugary afterward?

Can river rock, work as a base for a bocce court?

I’ve got this huge overgrown flower bed behind my garage that’s packed with river rock from the previous owners. At one point it probably looked nice, but now it’s mostly weeds and random plants fighting for survival lol. I already planned on digging most of it up this summer, but then another idea popped into my head.

I’ve wanted to build a bocce court on the other side of the yard for a while now, mostly because my family gets weirdly competitive during backyard games.

Instead of hauling all these rocks away, I started wondering if I could somehow reuse them as part of the base layer for the bocce court.

I know river rock probably won’t compact the same way gravel does because it’s rounded, but maybe mixing sand or crushed gravel into it could help hold things together? I even found some landscaping threads where people compared different base materials sourced through local yards and online connected suppliers, but nobody seemed fully confident about river rock.

Am I setting myself up for a disaster here or could this idea work without the whole court shifting around constantly?
