Blood work today

Hey all this reddit has been super helpful, I dont sleep most night (maybe an hour or 2 and then another hour during babys nap). Doctor is doing bloodwork today im kind of hoping it IS a nutrient deficiency (mine became worse during pregnancy and postpartum but prior was pretty bad during my monthly cycle.) She said that if my nutrients look okay that we might try gaba to help. Just thought id give an update into my own situation, I was nervous about the doctors because im about 5 pounds overweight and the doctors ive had in the past have dismissed my concerns due to weight, but today it wasnt even mentioned!

Zach Lahn and Vaccines

Im curious what others feel about Zach Lahn and his views on changing the vaccine schedule? I have a little one and care A LOT about the current administration and what they are doing, but before that I really thought his idea on data centers were excellent. However, I have to protect my child and cutting vaccines isnt the way to go for iowa (imo)

Single friends

Hey how about if you're a single person who hates kids and never wants to be around them (including when your friends have them) how about just not being friends with them instead of waiting until after their baby is born to abandon them. Everyone is like oh moms are too busy. Mfer IM THE ONE PUTTING IN ALL THE EFFORT WHEN I HAVE A BABY AT HOME. IM THE ONE SCREAMING AND CRYING BECAUSE IM SO LONELY.. But sure. Moms are the people who dont have time to make the effort

My church and husband

I love God and I like my church... kind of. My issue is that my husband is now just kind of judgemental as a person and since going to church and has picked more fights than ever before and said really nasty things that he feels sorry and I forgive him for but I no longer love him. He also doesnt like therapy and im a SAHM, so i would not be able to hide it very well if I go. I go to a small Baptist church and our pastor believes Catholics arent saved. Which I dont quite get, and i find it maybe a false teaching and would love others thoughts on it. Im mainly more just venting because I miss who my husband was before going to church and wish we still had fun together (we didnt drink or do sinful things we just used to laugh together.) And i feel like unfortunately I know a lot of men like my husband that go to church.

Therapy for cheap

I'm a SAHM amd would like to go to therapy. I am on my husbands insurance, but he isnt a fan of therapy due to religious upbringing. I hate to have to hide it but does anyone know of a therapist who might be able to work with me? My old therapist was about 90 a month when I worked and it would need to be less than that.

My friend needs resources

Hi, I have a friend who lives in iowa, shes married to someone who seems unsafe, everytime ive been around hes been controlling, and it sounds like it may be worse in private. Before they were married he seemed really chill, now not so much. They do have a child together and he tries to pressure her for more kids despite the complications she had. Ive suggested just getting a divorce however shes a sahm and says there really arent many jobs where she lives and that daycare is expensive and without her husband shed be homeless. Im wondering if there might be resources in iowa that like help with a job and finding a reasonable place to live?

I need help trying to find 0 dollar therapy (0 copay)

I used to have a job but now I am a SAHM. Im quite concerned about the future of where I live (US) and it causes me a great deal of anxiety. I live in a place where there arent jobs available and moving does not make sense because my husbands job is how we pay bills and eat. I want to go to counseling but when ive brought it up in the past he doesnt understand why I cant just talk to him about things (he demeans me and then calls me crazy when I react.) I would really like to go but I just would need a place with 0 dollar copay? So no money is coming out of the account when I go.

I live in a small town about 25 miles outside of Cedar Rapids. We have a public school in our town but I'm keeping my options open. My husband and I are willing to move as well if needed. Currently my child is only 6 months, so a lot can change with education as a whole but right now I just see it has gone down immensely since I graduated 11 years ago. I'm just wondering other parents opinions on schools in the Cedar Rapids area? I personally don't feel a 1st grader needs a computer (they started implementing this at the district I was attending when I graduated). There's also a chance that we may homeschool and join a co-op, but my family keeps pressuring me to keep public school in mind, a few members were on the PTA 30 years ago and don't understand how public schooling has changed. Sorry, I realize this was long winded, I'm honestly just looking for opinions on schools in the Cedar Rapids area, K-12 overall. My husband works with someone who attended a school in DelMar and seems to be impressed with the education there, but that would require us to move. Thanks in advance!
