Why say you care about employee wellbeing , when actions are different?

Hello peeps, there are countless HR internal documents regarding values, respect, EAP contacts for wellbeing, etc. But then, when most of us were benefiting from remote work, it was rugged from us ?

I calculated, the revenue and net profit, per employee actually increased for the 5 fiscal years following Covid.

Why do Canadian government jobs (municipal, provincial or federal), seem to have a substantially higher number of applicants than private sector?

Hello fellow peeps, I’ve been reviewing this thread for career planning. It seems that government jobs have a disproportionate higher number of applicants than private sector jobs.

I’m trying to understand why- Is it because of salary, pension, job security?

Why can’t there be branch based roles that only focus on service not sales?

Hello peeps, I’m struggling to understand why the goals are set around sales, products, and referrals. Why can’t a job be to just service customer, that’s it. There is no obligation to ask anything from them, except maybe a Thank You.

Our population is about 100k and there are less than 100 single family homes for sale…this doesn’t work

And I missing something or does it seem that we have a single family home crisis for properties under about $500k ?

Hello fellow peeps, I am surprised and disappointed that hybrid work schedules and remote work has mostly disappeared from office environments. We had the Teams and Zoom technology.

In your opinion, why does the government and companies want employees back at the office? And please no “culture “ speak
