Attorney fees?

I always thought the contingency fee was all inclusive. But i noticed an attorney contract says 40% plus expenses. Is this normal?

For those that got attorneys, how was the fee structured and how much did you have to pay?

Do you think the attorney was worth it?

Should one skip the rebuttal to the position statement?

I was wondering if it makes sense to rebutt the position statement during the eeoc process?

The pros from what i understand:

  1. Instill fear in the employer with your evidence to force them to settle and or offer more money.

  2. Potentially get the EEOC to find cause, with could help your settlement and or case.

The cons:

The eeoc really can't force the employer to pay or rehire you.

If you rebutt, you give the employer all your evidence. As a result, they have a chance to get their lie straight before you file in court. The court can force the employer to pay.

It's my understanding the courts are lenient with employer's lying, but your lie will end the case. So they can sometimes get away with changing their reasoning after they get your evidence from the rebuttal to the position statement.

What's your thoughts on the rebuttal?

Pressured to settle

Has anyone ever been or felt like they were being pressured by the EEOC to accept a settlement agreement?

Or complaints of where someone was trying to negotiate with the company, but the EEOC (potentially working with the defense attorney) was trying to force them to take a small number and end the negotiations?

Does this sound unlikely or common?

Remove Eeoc charge before before settlement payment normal?

Is it normal that the company requires someone to remove Eeoc charge without prejudice before you're paid?

Seems like all your leverage is gone once the charge is removed and the company can decide to not pay you, and there's little you can do.

Edit: to confirm, I'm referring to once the paperwork is signed, you agree to drop the charge, but only after you receive your money; Not before you receive your money.

But the employer says the will pay only after you've completely removed your charge.

Friend with terrible breath

I'm trying to determine if this dentist sucks.

I have a friend that has terrible breath. Went to the dentist and the dentist did a cleaning i believe and told the friend it should be good now.

However the bad breath persists even after the cleaning. Also notice the teeth looks brown with yellow.

I read the breath should stop smelling after a couple of weeks worse case scenario. Can you confirm?

When does silent hill 2 get scary?

I keep reading silent hill 2 is terrifying. The first time I've been terrified with a game is resident evil 9. Many say silent hill 2 (sh2) is more scary than re9.

I played sh2 some but it hasn't been scary yet. Does it get better and scary at some upcoming chapter or maybe it's just not for me?

Edit:

I think I'm playing the remake.

Where i am now:

I forget what chapter, but it's in the apartment building where the man has the cone on his head. I was hiding from him in the closet, he walked up i shot at him, then left. I believe that was a cutscene. I'm a little further now though.

I remember re9 was pretty scary from the beginning. At first i didn't like it because I'm not a fan of the puzzles, but it got pretty good after.
