Where'd all the discount stores disappear to?

Where did all the affordable discount shopper stores go to? Prices are high and I am avoiding the mall clothing. Stores outside the mall use to be more affordable but now are on par with the mall. Second hand stores like good will/value village/ross I've given up on. I won't wear used clothing, gross. Ross is seconds and they're hit or miss and I do not like their business practices. I don't trust sites like temu or ali because I don't like their business practices. What else is out there?

Letter dictating issue at work to union came back as "undelivered" despite valid address.

No one can get through to our damn union (ufcw 3000). Calls go straight to answering machines, I've sent at least 3 letters off to them saying "Hey we need to talk...", and I can't get through to anyone. What is my next set of steps? I called the plu with my state and they said unless I have an actual issue answering phones does not count. This issue started about 3 years ago and has been steadily getting worse. I feel this is discrimination because my disability requires me to have more assistance and after a huge case last year that almost went to an eeoc claim, I feel this is entering failure to fairly represent all members. I have the tracking receipts for my sent letters saying no one accepted them but it was delivered. I have detailed messages of all the messages. This is highly unprofessional of a union. Wtf do I do in this scenario? Can I use my disability as a playing card to say "discrimination & failure to represent"? It would of been nice to talk to someone regarding a few concerns at work but no one wants to even bother to talk to me now. I've always been professional to them but after that one case I now can't get through to any one and it is illegal to block a member. Our union is thankful no one has had a major case against them in the past 3 years since this dribble started.

I didn't catch it at first but I got scheduled a 10 hr shift with only a half hour lunch. I assume I'd just work the standard 8 hr shift. Like Hell I'm doing a 10 hr shift. I work a department where they more than likely wouldn't notice me leaving at my normal scheduled time.

Don't you love it when you block a coworker on your personal phone because they crossed a line into harassment a while ago. Then it takes them 3 weeks to figure out that you blocked them. Now she doesn't even greet me when I say I to her, she doesn't small talk any more like she use to and she's become some what bitter towards me. I make small talk but she always ignores my comments. So I don't even attempt to talk to her now because she refuses to even reply to anything. She's a micromanager and crossing a line into policy violations and needs to be very careful what steps she takes next.

I blocked her 3 months ago. You caused this block dear not me. Think twice before you start calling or texting between 10 pm and 8 am when I'm sleeping. Then half aff apologize for waking me during my sleeping time frame. She called so much my phone registered as a regular and let her calls through and apple phones don't let you block someone between x time frames so that didn't' work. Blocking was the only answer. I could honestly care less about the gossip at work dear.

I'm thinking of suing my union for allowing me to experience a bad couple of years of heavy discrimination. I'm over 40 and disabled. On what grounds can I use my union. They went quite and now I can't even get them to answer my calls. No one at the union even bothers to answer my calls any more and I'd like some compensation for the mental distress I endured the past couple of years. Advice?

Our temp am opener is so bad at their job they spend an hour doing each task regardless of how simple it is and they show zero motivation to move faster and they are yes "normal". I have been asking our lead to give written check lists of all the duties each shift is responsible for so all the duties get done. He refuses to do that and says it's too cumbersome. I have worked many jobs with check lists to ensure all duties get done. I swear no one knows what the bleep to do half the time so our department is pretty much a sh-it show.

This is an important medical appointment I can't miss because it is the middle appointment to set up the next steps to follow for my procedures. I simply put can't miss this. Leaving early isn't an option because work has made it clear all your shift or none in the past. We have two people out on vacation and apparently my one day off request is invalid despite telling them a month in advance I'd have several medical appointments I'd have to do for a few months. I rarely call out but I will have to call out tomorrow regardless.
