BFS QUESTIONS

I posted it on here not too long ago worried about ALS. However, I still am but i’m waiting on a neruo appointment. I was curious if you guys had any of the same feelings that I have experienced which are widespread body twitching of course we all know that we have that however I’m having burning sensation in my arm that feels weak tremors in both hands and sharp pains all over my body. Also, what feels to be vibrations in random spots. This has been going on for two months now just about I still haven’t lost the ability to do anything like holding cups, writing, typing, etc. I do all the basics. and I don’t know how long it takes in more serious situations. I was curious if it still points to benign stuff or other nerve issues my CT scan got denied and doctor ordered MRI however the insurance never accepted it in time so I had to reschedule that. 🤗 this has been such a crazy two months.

Rabbit Hole 🕳️

all right, everyone I have no idea where to start. First of all, I was a normal 25 year-old woman with zero symptoms until August end of July. I had a really bad kidney infection, August 2. I forgot that I had slipped and fell and hit my wrist. Really hard at my house shortly after without a thought or reflection of hitting my wrist, I started getting sharp pains throughout my wrist. I didn’t think anything of falling, but I thought about my medication and I was nervous that my medication was causing me a problem August 9. I started having the same feeling in my feet. I was nervous because the pain. I automatically thought of ALS a couple days later I started getting twitching in my legs. I freaked out completely. I started googling which led me down the rabbit hole of ALS and other things that could mimic. I got so upset looking into things and the twitching lasted, so I took myself to the hospital because I was so upset. They did basic bloodwork. and I’m pretty sure they asked me if I fell but at the time I completely forgot I just remembered this week that I had made a fall. When I was at the hospital, I explained that I feared ALS they asked me if I had any weakness and I responded with no no weakness. I went super early in the morning due to dropping My Wife 💍 off at work and I also had to be at work shortly after my blood work came back fine they didn’t EKG because I have pots in my heart rate was skyrocketed. While working, I noticed that my right arm started feeling heavy and weak. I then started to panic because I had just told them no I did not have any weakness so I called my primary in a frantic because I was so upset and she told me to come in for a visit. My doctor was very unhappy with me and told me that I did not have ALS and that it was my anxiety however she was going to perform bloodwork and a CT scan on my brain and if those came ok, then she would refer me to a neurologist. My blood work was fantastic. I was nervous for a vitamin deficiency because I am a vegetarian but from basic blood work everything looked OK. That way I’m not sure vitamin wise however, my CT scan was supposed to be yesterday and got canceled due to authorization issues I have been making myself so anxious that I can’t calm down. I never had any issues with twitching other than my eyelid in the past that occasionally happened the twitching has been every day since around August 12 through the 13th until this very day I’m not experiencing any clinical weakness however I would say perceived weakness. I was curious if these are common factors in MS it’s been about three weeks since my hospital visit. The twitching is crazy. It’s in my eyes, my arms, my legs, my feet my buttocks, my lips chin, etc. My doctor said it was my anxiety and that nothing was wrong with me however, she’s following everything to rule out everything. i’m curious if this is due to my fall and forgetting about it or if I’m experiencing something else nerve related because I am twitching so much I’m still able to do basic activities. My arm just feels heavier and like Jell-O sometimes but I still write time my shoes, wash dishes, etc. I’m also a Mom to an autistic seven-year-old who I lug around and is half of my size. I’m curious if people had the symptoms for something similar to mine. i’ve tried everything in the book to get my muscles to calm down however, it’s not working. I don’t even have a referral to a neurologist yet.

ALS Rabbit hole 🕳️

Where do I start?
So August 13th ish I started to notice full body twitching. EVERYWHERE. It’s in my feet, thighs, calves, arms, shoulders, buttocks, eyelids, lips. I started googling and found myself down the ALS rabbit hole. Everyday I am completely worked up. My twitching is continuous. It’s so obnoxious. Around the 19th I went to the hospital because i was so worked up. They did basic blood work but everything was fine other than a smidge low of potassium. They had me follow up with my primary. I was in tears in the office and she scolded me saying “It wasn’t ALS and i needed to get my anxiety under control” she told me she was gonna do blood work (same as hospital) which from my looks from my chart look good everything seems in normal range. Then she was sending for a CT scan of my head. She said if everything came out normal THEN i would go to a neurologist. I have had slight arm weakness meaning things just feel heavier no significant clinical weakness in the two week span. However, i’m so anxious because i have a gut feeling my ct scan will be fine and then I’ll get the worst news from a neurologist. I’m curious because i see so many different things about ALS meaning someone automatically can’t do anything before twitching starts or it gradually comes with twitching. I can still write, text, eat, and do stuff. But it’s only been a short time. I’m so exhausted from twitching all day and being anxious. I’ve been trying to stay distracted but it’s so hard. I’m only 25 and my doctor said at my age it’s EXTREMELY rare and that i don’t have it and need to stop. I feel belittled a bit. Am I dramatic?

still have yet to have reassurance

I was so upset yesterday when I went to my doctors. I’ve been so anxious about my body for the last three weeks. It’s been unreal. I’ve had numerous body twitching throughout the day and night anywhere and everywhere you can think of and it’s getting on my nerves when I went to the hospital they said to follow up with my primary so I called my primary. which I had also started feeling weakness in my arm the day after going to the hospital. We discussed setting up an appointment and how scared of ALS when I went to my appointment yesterday, my doctor was so rude to me and automatically told me that it was not ALS in addressed anxiety. She drew my blood and has me scheduled for a CT scan, but she told me if those two came out perfect then she would send me out for EMG. I got my blood back and it came out perfect my CT scan isn’t until September 5 and I’m anxious that that’s gonna come out perfectly fine too so I’m nervous when I go for emg that it’s gonna come out dirty and that I’ve been correct all along my right arm feels weaker and weaker every day. I don’t really know how to explain it. I can still move it and draw and write open things, etc. but my hand feels a lot, heavier and weaker, and the rest of my body does not feel that way I’m only 25 so that’s why my doctor said that I don’t have ALS but I’m really nervous that it’s gonna pinpoint into that

Scared of the worst

Okay where do I start?
About two weeks ago I started having twitching throughout my body. I’ve always noticed my eye lids twitching but never experienced full body twitching. This twitching is still going on. I started to google which is the worst thing to do right? I automatically fell down the rabbit hole of ALS. This made me absolutely panic. I still was managing my life and doing everything as before working etc. However, It was making me so restless so I decided it was time to take an ER trip. When I went to the ER the doctor asked me a few questions. He asked me if I was weak and I stated that I wasn’t. I also told them i was nervous about a vitamin deficiency because I am a vegetarian. The doctor drew some blood and did a few other test. I had a slight potassium deficiency but only by a smidge. He said that he didn’t believe it was ALS at the time and he didn’t believe I needed to even follow up with a neurologist. He told me to follow up with my primary for further testing for vitamin deficiency, thyroid, etc. However I can’t get in for a bit. So after the hospital trip I took myself to work after being up all night because the doctor didn’t seem concerned. I worked in a different department at work packing online orders. Which is a bit of work because you shop the store for items. However, that day my arm started feeling weak. Heavy, and it still feels that way almost three days later. i’m still able to tie my shoes, brush my hair, and or teeth, button shirts etc. My arm feels so tired though and i keep babying it. Now i’m even more terrified. Om so worried that this is ALS and it’s clearly impacting my mental health because everyone around me is saying i’m so zoned out and not acting myself. I’m not sure what weakness is with ALS but i’m arm just feels over it.
