Location of base charging station debate with my elderly father who wants to set it up in the garage.
Context, My father (m84) and I (m62) bought a house together on a half acre of land. I just purchased the X430 and had intended for the base station to go outside, slightly away from the house, in a large bordered bed.
He insists we do not need an electrician to install an outdoor outlet, he plans to manually mow 3-4 times a week while keeping the base station in our two car garage. This goes against every YouTube video and guide I have watched before deciding to make the purchase.
I was going to do the setup, mapping, and scheduling. I even had appointments for estimates for an outlet (he sent them away). Like everything else I plan, he has taken over and insists he'll do a better job (retired naval officer). I no longer argue with him because he gets very heated and red in the face. I have tossed up my hands and told him to enjoy my purchase and do whatever he wished.
Has anyone else attempted this kind of setup? Results?
