The Berry Thought of You

Hi all!

For this week’s mani, I was craving something fresh, juicy, and very end-of-summer—so I went with OPI “The Berry Thought of You.”

Products used:
● OPI Natural Nail Base Coat
● 2 coats OPI Nail Lacquer in The Berry Thought of You
● OPI Rapidry Top Coat — not yet but soon!

I’m seriously digging this color. It has that gorgeous juicy berry vibe, like I dipped my fingertips straight into raspberry or strawberry jam.

I think berry shades are such a fun transition from bright summer colors into early fall without feeling too fall yet.

What do you think—are berry nails still a go-to for the end of summer, or are you already reaching for fall shades?

And if you’re wearing a berry shade right now, tell me which one! I’m always looking for my next polish obsession.

This one’s making waves

This One’s Making Waves Hi everyone! Since we’re still in the middle of summer, I decided to stick with a beach-inspired theme for this week’s manicure. I couldn’t resist trying OPI “This One’s Making Waves,” and I think it’s such a fun, ocean-inspired shade.

Products used:

●	OPI Natural Nail Base Coat
●	2 coats of OPI This One’s Making Waves
●	No top coat yet in these photos (I’ll be adding OPI Rapidry Top Coat afterward)

I know there are a few imperfections—I definitely don’t claim to be a professional! 😄 But overall, I’m really happy with how it turned out.

What do you think of the color? Would you wear it this summer? Any tips or constructive feedback are always welcome!

Gumdrop

Hi everyone!

I know that many are not happy with this brand, but I really wanted to do a color shade that was reminiscent of the Tiffany robin’s egg blue color for my mani this week, and this one was the closest I had.

Products used:
OPI natural nails basecoat
3 coats of Orly “Gumdrop “ shade
OPI Rapidry topcoat

This is a very old bottle of polish and it went on fairly streaky but I ended up using 3 coats to hide the streakiness. (I think it worked) what do you think?

Kokie Royally Blue

Hi there!

So. Last week I went on a vacation and there was a dollarss store there (there aren’t any dollar stores where I live) and I picked up quite a few nail polishes while there, some of which I heard of in these forums…

I also got the teal deal, by Kokie, and a few others, and in a different store, (slightly elevated from dollar store), there was a five and dime Store (not called the dollar store. I think it was called five below, meaning like five dollars and below, I think).

Anyway, I’m in NYC and would love to say that this current blue mani is EITHER in honor of the Knicks OR for the Fourth of July or perhaps both, haha, but honestly I just liked the color and wanted to try this one first.

Ok, products used:
OPI natural nail base coat
2 coats of Kokie Royally Blue

No topcoat yet as I wanted to take the photos before I put the topcoat on in case I got a lot of bubbles I’ve been having a little trouble with that lately. I wanna make sure that my money is full fully dry before putting the top coat on, so I’m waiting a while to do it. But never fear I will get to it.

I have to say I was really impressed with the application of this since it came from the dollar store. I’m not sure if it’s as good as OPI but it was definitely a lot easier to work with than some others I’ve used.

Let’s see if this man actually lasts through the Fourth of July - even if it doesn’t, I might just repeat it again because I like it so much!

Thanks for looking.

Sparkling blues

I wanted more sparklies, so I did this mani with blue sparklies all over!

I will say that I don’t love how difficult flakies are to work with but, I do love a good sparkle!

What do you think?

Products used:

OPI natural nails basecoat - 2 coats

Maybelline, New York color show brocades in beaming blue (785) - 2 coats

Although I will be putting a top coat on, as well as some oil on top of cuticles, I haven’t done so yet.

Going Green for Summer!

Well, it feels like Summer, anyway!

This is my latest in a very bright lime green called lime green with envy!

Products used: OPI natural nails, basecoat 3 coats RK by kiss HD nail polish in “lime green with envy” shade OPI topcoat

It’s so bright it’s almost a neon green, but not quite. I’m a little bit on the fence about this color - I’ve never done a shade quite this bold before, mostly I stick to the pinks and reds and sometimes blues or dark sparkles but this is the first for me. What do you think? Is it too much?

Electric purple” but looks more like fuschia to me

Here’s my latest mani for Spring -

It’s a shade called “Electric purple” but looks more like fuschia to me).

Products used:
OPI basecoat for natural nails 3 coats of “RK by Kiss HD nail polish” in Electric Purple shade OPI topcoat

I wanted a nice pop of color for this week’s mani and I like it, but I also think it looks a slight bit darker than it looks in the bottle. I don’t really mind, though. What do you think?

This is my sparkling sapphire mani. This one was a total pain getting the application to work evenly- it seemed to be fighting me every step of the way!

Even though it was a new polish, it was thick and gloopy and on the final (third) coat of color, I ended up adding some polish thinner to the bottle. Not sure it really helped, but I tried my best.

Products used are: OPI natural nails basecoat, 3 coats of Professional Kiss New York Quick Dry polish in “Blu-hoo” shade, OPI topcoat.

Basecoat: OPI natural nail basecoat 3 coats OPI Nature Strong in “A Bloom with a View” shade Topcoat: OPI topcoat

This one is a little unusual for me as I don’t usually wear such a bold red shade, but I do like it, and will probably wear this one more often.
