Does this look like a scam?

I did happen to be in a public car park yesterday, but I did also pay for it - besides there’s barriers that let me out too

What situation were people in when they returned to driving?

I am 8 weeks post op, when going out the house to walk somewhere I wear the boot but no crutches. Around the house I am walking around barefoot pretty okay - bit of a hobble but it’s pretty doable, I’ll still use crutches for the stairs. I’m aware with driving it’s the ‘can you do an emergency stop’ but I’d like to know what kind of position you should be at in recovery before thinking about driving again

Just had my 6 week post-op follow up, how cautious should I be?

6 weeks following a Lisfranc ORIF I’ve been told it’s healing well, the consultant (who initially came in thinking I was 2 weeks post op) told me that according to the scans my foot is healing well, he’s told me that I can already begin walking without the crutches and just using the boot, and within 2 weeks I can start walking without the boot and without crutches.

Just looking at other people’s timescales, this seems concerningly fast, or is this normal and therefore I don’t need to worry? Im worried that maybe they’ve mixed me up lmao

How does the training system work?

I keep never being able to use any of my experience points after a tournament. I know you’re supposed to wait time to be able to spend them, so this time I took an extra week out, went to train. Retrained my lost stats, then went to spend them and it only let me spend 5 points.

It never lets me spend many at all, so now I’ve saved up 250 experience points but I can never spend many at all each time. Do I just need to take loads of time out? Someone else is telling me that they manage to spend all their experience points without taking breaks

Were older generations lying about how brutal football was back in the day?

After just watching the entirety of the 1966 World Cup final, contrary to what I hear from older generations I was shocked to see how clean the game was in terms of physicality. It’s one of the most non-contact matches I’ve ever watched, the threshold for a foul doesn’t seem much different to what it is today, there’s been a fair few soft fouls given for light touches. This really contrasts anything ive heard about football from this kind of time period - it doesn’t seem rougher or tougher at all

Putting weight on my foot during the NWB phase - 3 and a half weeks post ORIF

My crutch slipped and I just accidentally put a fair bit of weight through my foot whilst in a boot. I’m scheduled in to have an xray in 2 weeks regarding weight bearing status. I haven’t felt any pain in my foot after this accident but wondering if there’s still any need to be worried?

PSN - Do I need it?

I don’t really play any other games but just got into this game and want to play some friends online. I play on PS4 but think I need PSN to play online. However, it really doesn’t seem worth it, it’s a bit of a fortune for me just to play one game on it very sporadically. 1) do I need PSN for online? 2) can I set up a game against mates? 3) are there ways to get cheaper PSN if I’m using it so little - or is it just the basic options you see on the ps4?

3 Week post-op ORIF - still getting a lot of redness on the left side of my incision, I’m wondering if this is normal

Mechanisms of injury

I’ve seen that Lisfranc injuries are commonly caused by traumatic events and many examples I’ve read on here have been along those lines. However, I have my own concerns based on the fact that my injury seems to have had such a small mechanism. I’ve undergone and ORIF, had a fracture and dislocation of course ligament damage - but all that happened was I was playing football (soccer to Americans), I went to sprint, no contact or anything, suddenly hear a snap in my foot and intense pain and that was it. Have others had this injury caused with such a minor mechanism?

Time frame for moving from cast to a boot post op?

I am 2 weeks post ORIF and just had my cast off and been placed in a boot but I am still on NWB instructions. However someone has told me this is crazy and that I should still be in a cast for 6 weeks and I am now quite concerned

Terrified about my ORIF healing

I’m 2 weeks post ORIF, out of the cast and in a boot. I’ve not been using the boot much - it’s so uncomfortable, I feel like I can never get my heal down in it so it puts pressure on the ball of my foot and therefore I’m worried about pressure around the midfoot.
Of course I’ve not been weight bearing at all, but I struggle to keep my feet totally still all the time and I’m worried that my foot isn’t in the boot nearly enough.

How sturdy are ORIFs and how much do I need to worry about it failing from things like - moving my toes around, having pressure on it when trying to put my foot flat in the boot or the boot itself applying pressure. Also slight movements during sleep if I don’t have the boot on

Post op boot?

I am 2 weeks post ORIF for my lisfranc injury. I have just had my cast removed and stitches removed. The scar was healing well so no dressing was applied and I’ve been given a boot and of course no weight bearing.
However, nobody told me how much I need to be wearing the boot - I.e am I to only take it off for cleaning purposes etc… or if I’m sitting up on the sofa resting am I allowed to leave it off for a few hours?

- to add, when putting on the boot, I get a burning sensation into my second toe and a bit around my incision site, even when on pretty loose
