Current scam.. text message saying ring this number because your Apple Pay has been activated on a new phone.. they throw the usual rubbish it’s been used here and here.. and a manager calls you back on WhatsApp trying to get screen shared. Claiming to be Financial Conduct Authority.. I messed with them as long as possible to stop other people getting tricked and reported the number to WhatsApp

What can be done with email and phone number?

Got an email with a link from an Architect firm I am doing a job for with details of another job. The link asked to make a microsoft account with email and phone number, but i don't think the download or whatever it was completed as I was on a ferry at the time! Ive changed bank passwords and asked to delete that microsoft account. The architect firm knew they had been hacked and failed to contact anyone about it. What can anyone do with the info provided please?

"Pixel models" and "Fusion Management" in London are SCAMS

Beware, "Pixel models" (https://pixel-models.com/) and "Fusion Management" (https://www.fusionmng.com/) in London are compete scam operations. Pixel will try sell you a £300+ "package", and refer to to Fusion Management saying they're a modelling agency, but it's just the same operation and will ask for a deposit payment.

They operate out of "A List Studios" at Unit 1, Ground Floor, 65 Tudor Rd, London E9 7RZ.

If you are in contact with them and booked a session, leave it open to waste their time but don't go.

Top tip for avoiding bank scams!

My mom lives in a retirement community and they had someone give them a talk about online/phone scams and security. Apparently if you call 159 it is a special helpline that can help confirm if it's a legitimate email/call and get you help for any UK bank. Sounds like something more people should know about!
